(Inferno's POV)
I was sitting on my porch with my wife when I got a call from Azara.
"Hey Az what's up?"
"Hi Lukes. Do you want to come over to my place and have a Marvel marathon?"
I raised a brow at her tone of voice. She sounded super happy. Like a lovestruck puppy.
"Sure. Can Ally come too?"
"Of course."

I knocked on Azara's front door and smiled when she opened it and welcomed us in.
I followed her into the living room and spotted Rooster laying on the couch, scrolling through various Marvel movies.
He stood up to shake my hand. "Hey Inferno. How's it going?" He greeted with a smile.
He then glanced at Aleena. "Rooster this is my wife Aleena. Ally this is Bradly Bradshaw." I introduced.
Aleena smiled. "It's nice to meet you Bradly."
Rooster smiled in return. "You too Aleena." He then gestured to the couch. "Make yourselves at home. I'm gonna go help Az in the kitchen."
I raised a brow at his retreating form. "I'll have to have a talk with him."
Aleena rolled her eyes. "Would you stop being an overprotective best friend. He seems nice and he is clearly head over heels for her." She said, placing a hand on my leg.
"I know." I sighed. "It's just Az has been through so much and that guy has played a part in her pain. I just don't want to see her like that again."
"Yeah she has been through a lot. But she can handle herself and besides, do you think Maverick would let her be in a relationship he doesn't approve of?"
I smiled at that and leaned down to kiss her cheek. "You're right. As always. Thanks Ally."
(Azara's POV)
I smirked as the tension between Rooster and Inferno grew bigger.
I knew Inferno wouldn't like Rooster being here. It's not that they didn't like each other. It's that inferno could tell the relationship between me and Rooster has changed and he doesn't like that one bit.
Inferno has been like my brother since I met him at the academy. He's always been overprotective. And I love him for it, but it can get a little tedious sometimes.
I smiled as Rooster entered the kitchen. "Can I assist with anything, Madam?" He asked in a fake formal tone, bowing dramatically.
I laughed. "You can indeed kind sir. Would you be so kind as to take these foods and beverages to the living room?" I asked in an equally dramatic tone.
He smirked. "It would be my pleasure."
I laughed as he gave me a wink on his way out. That man Could be such a goofball sometimes but he always found a way to make my day.
I got the last of the snacks and headed to the living room. I placed them on the coffee table and took a seat next to Bradly, snuggling into his side.
***
We ended up choosing Thor: Ragnarok as our first movie in the Marvel marathon.
And throughout the movie Inferno seemed to thaw out in his protectiveness and was getting surprisingly close with Rooster.
(Inferno's POV)
I was now sat beside Rooster and decided to have a little fun.
We were about halfway through the movie, I leaned over to whisper in Rooster's ear. "Do you want to see what gets Azara really worked up?" He nodded in reply and I proceeded to explain the plan to him.
Az was sat next to Aleena. Rooster took a deep breath and put on his poker face. "Hey Az?"
She turned to look at him, giving him her full attention which surprised me. Usually she would hum in response and keep her eyes glued to the screen if I were to ask her a question.
"I don't like Loki. He's not good looking at all, he looks kinda like an elf man. And besides he's evil." Rooster finished, his voice dripping with sincerity.
I tried to suppress my smile as her jaw dropped and she let out a gasp. She quickly paused the movie snd jumped up from the couch and stood in front of Bradly.
"You did NOT just say that!" She stood up straight and glared at him. "Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, is one of the most good looking men in the world. So if you're going to disrespect him then don't do it in front of me." She crossed her arms over her chest and stood her ground.
"He's not the only one. I personally like Thor more." Aleena piped up and I could see in her eyes that she was playing along with the game.
That's what truly set Az off. A look of hurt flashed across her features but she regained her composure quickly. "Ally? I thought you were my fellow Hiddlestoner? I thought I could rely on you to have my back in this situation, but Thor?!? It's the same thing if I said that I found Hangman more attractive than Rooster!" She fumed, pointing at Rooster for emphasis.
She sighed dramatically. "I guess that Love is a dagger and when you reach for it it's not there." She pouted childishly.
I couldn't hold it any longer and burst out laughing. Aleena was trying to suppress her laughter and Rooster just chuckled, standing up and pulling Azara into a hug.
"You guys are mean." Az pouted, looking up at Rooster as she leaned against him.
He smiled at her. "I know. Sorry." He kissed the top of her head. Then he leaned down and whispered something in her ear. She smiled and nodded and then they both sat back down.
Ok I'll admit, they're cute together. And they make each other happy and that's all I want for Az.
We continued the movie and laughed at the characters humor and had a really good time.
A/N: this was just a filler chapter but I hope you all enjoyed. I'll see you all next chapter!! Love you!❤️
