"What I'm trying to say is, I can keep a secret, for as long as I like. I can take secrets to my grave." her tone lowers, their eye contact doesn't ease, "But I need you to promise me you'll do that too. Because if you do, we'll be okay. We'll be sa...

It's starting to be warm enough to not need a coat or a blanket to sit outside. But with warmer weather comes rain. And that Vivi hates. Despises. Loathes.
Not because her hair and clothes get wet. She could care less about that. Not because it stops her from going outside. But because it was raining when her mother's car swerved off the road to the upcoming traffic, eventually taking her life twelve years ago.
So whenever it rains, she chooses to stay inside.
But when the sun steps out the next day, she makes sure to spend the whole day outside. She wants to think it's her mother's way of apologizing that she was reminded of the events that took place when she was eleven.
Her notebook sits on the little garden cast iron table next to her tea mug. There's a pile of developed pictures that need to be attached to the pages of the notebook but she cannot decide on what order they should be in. Maybe by month. Or maybe by colour.
Ugh, too difficult.
Her laptop is open and in front of her as well, an invitation to a charity event that takes place in three weeks stares at her with an angry gaze because she hasn't replied to it yet. The decision is too difficult.
Everything's so difficult.
This dead end makes Vivi groan, run her fingers through her hair stressfully as she stares up at the clear blue sky. At the same time she wants to laugh. Laugh at her problems. Some people are starving, some people struggle to bring bread to their table and she's here, struggling to decide if she wants to go to an event and in which order should she put her pictures into her notebook.
At that moment a dark figure appears in her field of vision. It comes around a corner, walking slow, body covered in dark clothing. It doesn't make her scared, she knows it's Jungkook.
He's just walking around the premises, checking that everything's normal and going by the book. Something Vivi sees him do a lot these days. He must be bored, she thinks.
Jungkook greets her when he's close enough, only says a quiet 'Hi' before pressing his lips into a thin line, his hands behind his back again.
Her yesterday's doings tiptoe into her mind, reminding her of them.
Since it was raining and she stayed in bed the whole day, she ran out of things to do on her phone. After jumping between X, Instagram and Tiktok a hundred times, she googled. Everything. Everything between the earth and space. Well, almost everything.
And eventually, surprisingly quickly she found herself googling bodyguards.
