"What I'm trying to say is, I can keep a secret, for as long as I like. I can take secrets to my grave." her tone lowers, their eye contact doesn't ease, "But I need you to promise me you'll do that too. Because if you do, we'll be okay. We'll be sa...

There's a silence as Jungkook dresses himself, throws a white t shirt on with oversized jeans while Vivi watches him from the comfort of their hotel bed, her legs crossed, hands resting on her lap. She's blissfully unaware how nervous Jungkook is as he covers his trembling chest with his shirt, his loud heart hidden with his hums that he lets out to disguise his emotions.
He's unaware of her nervousness as well, doesn't know she regrets the idea to stay alone in this hotel room while he goes away for who knows how long. The suite is safe, he checked every nook, she repeats in her head, forces a smile on her lips, ignores the horror pictures forming in her mind. Because what a silly thing is to think someone would barge in and kidnap her when there's almost 20 storeys in this building and they're on the highest one. No one would have the energy to search all rooms. Except if they already know where she's staying and...
No.
"So, you have my number, right? If anything comes up, anything, just call me, okay? I'm not that far away and I'll be here in the matter of 20 minutes." Jungkook speaks up while stuffing his jeans' pockets with his belongings, grabs the keys to her Porsche like it's his.
Vivi nods. She bites her lips hesitantly, almost tells him to stay but she can't. Because it's not why they're here. She wants him to be with his family, wants him to relax a little and not be on duty the whole time. The thought of keeping him from seeing his family gives her goosebumps as it's something she would never want to do. It's not who she is. If her mother was still alive and her father didn't have a strict plan for her future that she's reminded of every time she sees him, she'd go see them every week.
"But of course, it's quicker to call the police in case of emergency. They'll be here faster than me." Jungkook mutters as he walks over to the bed, his eyes on hers as he goes to cup her cheeks softly, needs to look into hers to calm his nerves. Doesn't even care if these little gestures he's been doing more and more this past week are taking them to a direction of no return.
Vivi gulps, wants to tell him not to feed her any ideas for her overthinking but doesn't, just stares up at his beautiful starry eyes that hold the whole universe, is sure the Virgo constellation is somewhere in there if she looks closely enough. It soothes her, hands landing on top of his, her breathing calming down in an instant. It's the effect of his touch and presence. As problematic as it is.
But what she doesn't know is that he saw her nervousness the second he laid eyes on her, heard her shaky breathing, felt her almost trembling being. Nothing goes unnoticed by him and sometimes it's more of a curse than a blessing. Because now he's more unsure about leaving than before.
"You gonna be okay?" he asks anyway, doubts her answer already even though she hasn't given it yet but knows it's going to be a lie.
And it is. Because she doesn't want to stop him from leaving. "Yeah." she tells him.
