"What I'm trying to say is, I can keep a secret, for as long as I like. I can take secrets to my grave." her tone lowers, their eye contact doesn't ease, "But I need you to promise me you'll do that too. Because if you do, we'll be okay. We'll be sa...

Vivi's steps are heavy, determined, angry. She doesn't remember the last time she was this angry. No. Not even when her mother died. She was devastated, absolutely broken, confused and angry. But not this much. Not when the break in happened. Not even when her father decided to speak about her mother out of nowhere in the middle of dinner.
None of those compare to what she feels now.
She could fly through the roof, blow up the whole sky, scream so loud all the volcanos would erupt. She could have the power of Eris with the snap of her fingers. Treat the whole world like the goddess of chaos would.
Her barefeet reach the bottom floor, her hasty gaze looking for anyone with a beating heart. She needs to burst.
"Jungkook!" she yells, a bit too loudly but she can't bring herself to care.
This floor is an unfamiliar place to her, she barely comes here. Only knows where Sunmi's room is so she feels embarrassed and lost that she has to search for Jungkook's. Chooses to call out his name one more time to not seem like the weaker one.
And when Jungkook finally steps out, appears in the long hallway, her anger gets a physical target.
"I told you- I told you I'd be fine the rest of the night!" she exclaims, hands on her chest to feel the vibration of her loud tone, "He's gone now and he's not coming back unless you're fired. Are you happy now? Huh?"
Jungkook keeps his eyes on her, the veins on his neck about to snap as he's forced to stay still, to keep his composure and not react in any way. Because, you know, he's been trained for that. He's been trained to be cold, soulless, emotionless. And he decides to take her words in the same he would if it was one of his superiors yelling at him.
He didn't think, not in a million years, that doing his job and ensuring her safety would risk it. But even if he did, he would've done it. In a heartbeat. It's his job.
"He's the only one who visits me, he's the only one who actually cares and you drove him away." Vivi painfully admits, her voice shaking as she knows the previous tears are about make their return.
Jungkook would lie if he said hearing that, seeing her like that didn't do a tiny paper cut in his heart.
In the distance, the door to Sunmi's room opens and outwalks a confused housekeeper, her body wrapped in her fluffy bathrobe.
"What's going on?" she mistakingly asks but quickly understands she shouldn't have done that.
Because in an instant the focus is on her, a question is thrown in the air that has been budding inside of Vivi the whole evening. A question she didn't think to say out loud because it wasn't a big deal. Until now.
Vivi feels betrayed, feels like they're planning something behind her back.
"Sunmi, why did Jungkook open the door for him? Why wasn't it you? Why was he there when it was supposed to be you?" Vivi angrily asks, her gaze jumping between her bodyguard and housekeeper who suddenly seem so unreliable.
