"Oh, Vivianne, we heard what happened outside."
"We're really sorry, are you okay?"
"Thank you, I'm fine." Vivi says to the two ladies who sit at her table already while she goes to sit down on her chair that Jungkook has pulled out for her.
She's sat with two actors, a CEO of a lifestyle company and an fitness influencer. She's met them before, hence the worried questions as soon as she joined them.
"I'll be somewhere over there." Jungkook says to her ear after helping her sit at her table, "Just wave if you need anything." his voice is low and quiet.
"I will." she glances up at him, proximity suddenly the only thing she sees as she does so, the scent of his cologne delicious reminding her of their embrace not even too long ago, "Thank you, Jungkook." she tells him, genuinly, gains a swift smile from him in return.
"Bad luck just seems to follow you everywhere you go." one of the ladies decide to comment that's indended to be compassionate but is the opposite, causing Vivi to look at her with question marks circling around her head.
Jungkook is lucky to hear it too, almost snorts out sarcastically at the obnoxious CEO. Thinks 'Thank God, I'm not sitting there' but feels bad Vivi is.
"Thank you for... Saying that." Vivi says, smacking her lips together before grabbing the menu from the table, just to keep herself busy.
But as Jungkook leaves and his footsteps recede, Vivi follows him with her gaze. Watches his wide shoulders as he walks in a relaxed matter, steps not fast but confident and long. He slips between tables so efficiently, gains a few glances from the women he passes but doesn't complete eye contacts with them as he is working, doesn't have time for such things.
But normally? When he's not working? Oh, Jeon Jungkook isn't a ladies man then either. No, no. It's his looks and mysterious personality that pull women to him without him having to do much effort and sometimes he does go on a few dates that end up in bed, between the sheets. But when it comes to those women, it never lasts longer than a few weeks as he is more keen on finding the one who makes his stern heart drop and impeccably steady hands tremble. So far he's been unlucky. But lucky enough to satisfy his needs every now and then.
Last woman he had in his own bed was before he was assigned to be Vivi's bodyguard. She was more determined to continue their situationship but he wasn't, told her coldly that this job doesn't really let him have time for dating, now has his number blocked by her.
Vivi wonders if he looks back at the women who he passes, wonders if he sees someone he'd love to talk more to, wonders where he'll be sitting and if he'll have company. Somehow doesn't like the idea that he's so far away from her.
