There's a lock in Vivi's throat as she watches Jungkook walk away, her breath hitching as her lips part. The cold look he gave her just before leaving was empty but at the same time so telling she can't ignore it.

"What did he say?"

She's reminded of Théo's presence again when he speaks up, just as bewildered by Jungkook's exit as Vivi is.

"Oh, uhm... He just said he'll be standing somewhere over there so we can talk in peace." she mutters while eyeing the direction Jungkook disappeared to, his doe eyes and wide shoulders nowhere to be seen though.

"That's odd. Why was he drinking just water too?" Théo nudges the empty glass of water on their table with his knuckles.

"He's driving tonight, so..." Vivi takes the glass - without even noticing - and hugs it with her palms.

There's still warmth around it where Jungkook's hand was just a moment ago. She makes sure to place hers right there as well as it somehow gives her comfort.

"Is he your boyfriend or something?"

A laugh escapes her throat when she hears the question being asked, shakes her head at it while her cheeks warm up. It's absurd, outrageous. Jungkook, her boyfriend? My God, how ridiculous does it sound. They barely alike, they live completely different lives, he would never risk his career like that. It's laughable. "No, no, no."

Unfortunately.

What?

What?

"Really? He was just staring at me the whole time like he wants to murder me or something. Good thing he left so I can relax." Théo leans back against his chair, visibly does what he just said, Jungkook's cold presence not affecting him anymore.

Vivi doesn't overthink it, decides on her own what it means.

Her bottomlip disappears between her teeth as she pictures Jungkook still sitting there, bitter and jealous that she's talking to Théo. And it excites her, lights up her whole body with warm pink energy, causes her to press her thighs together a little tighter.

She's not new to this feeling. Not new to Jungkook's jealousy either, or at least she hopes she's not. She's sure she got a taste of it a week ago even thought it'll always remain a mystery.

But she wouldn't mind. Not at all. Not when her heart beats a little faster to the thought of him being possessive over her.

Although she suddenly wants to leave this bar, she decides to stay with Théo a little longer because this is why she came here. She came because she wouldn't mind a taste of her old life. She came because there's no ties around her wrists. She came because she's not scared here.

They end up talking for another hour and it goes by swiftly. Vivi's three espresso martinis deep. Théo probably more than that. The reason they hit it off so well in the first place is because they attended the same middle school here in Versailles. Different years but same teachers and my God, is it fun to share weird class experiences when the one you're talking to actually knows what you mean.
