Sophie's POV

When Fitz and I finished lunch, which he kindly paid for, we returned back to the office with 5 minutes of lunch left to spare. I saw Andrew walk up to me.

"Sophie, where were you? I looked all over for you, called and texted. And who's hoodie is that?"

"Fitz had kindly taken me out for lunch and because all of Stacy's food went on my shirt, he offered a hoodie."

"And you took it?"

"Yes! Did you want me walking around here carrying someone else's lunch on my shirt?"

"I could have given you my sweater."

"Well you stayed behind with Stacy, so I guess you didn't have the chance."

"Don't tell me you're still mad." He said, sighing.

"Look, I'm not. You stayed behind with Stacy and had lunch with her and I went out with Fitz and had lunch with him. It was a win-win situation for the both of us." He sighed.

"I feel like we should talk." He said. I nodded in agreement.

"Me too. But we'll do that later. It's time to get back to work." He nodded and headed back to his desk, where Stacy walked up to him, of course making conversation. I rolled my eyes and focused on my own work.

(Time Skip)

Andrew and I walked out of the building and walked off to the side and there were no people walking.

"I have to tell you something." Andrew started.

"Me too."

"Same time?" I nodded. We counted in our heads saying different things.

"I think we should break up." I said.

" I think you should quit your job." He said. "Wait, you want to break up?"

"Yes, I do. And you think I should quit my job?"

"Yes there's too much drama going on so I think that you should quit."

"I'm not quitting my job. And the both of us are done."

"You don't get to end things. Who do you think you are?"

"As of now, your ex-girlfriend." I started walking in the other direction.

"Fine! Like I care! But I won't be driving you home tonight!" Did Andrew really think I was going to give a fuck about that?

I couldn't believe he wanted me to quit my job, as if he had any authority over me.

I heard a deep accented voice behind me, soon recognizing it as my boss. I turned around and he stepped closer.

"So I heard you need a ride home?"

"No, I'm fine, thank you."

"Are you sure? I'd be happy to give you a ride." I looked behind him to see Andrew, jealousy spread across his face.

"I'd love to, thank you." He smiled and we walked over to his car and went inside.

"Mind telling me the address?"

"Yeah." I gave him the address and he nodded.

"I live in that area, so it'll be on my way home."

"Great." We stayed in silence for a bit.

"What happened between you and Andrew?" He asked. I looked down, not answering.

"I'd rather not answer such a personal question." I answered.

"My apologies." And that's how the rest of the car ride home went. Only silence. He parked his car on the side and we both started getting out of the car.

"Why are you leaving the car? You don't have to walk me to my apartment, you've done enough just driving me." After I said that, I froze. That had been kind of rude, and with my boss.

Think before you talk Sophie!

"I know but, it wouldn't be gentlemanly of me if I didn't." I blushed as we entered the building making our way to my apartment. We had arrived at the door, and we stood across from each other, silence in the hallway.

"Thanks for the ride, and for everything today." He smiled.

"It was nothing, don't mention it." More silence, " I should probably get going. And about Andrew, if you need someone to talk to, I'm available." I hugged him. I know I probably shouldn't have done that but he deserved one after everything he did for me.

"Thank you." We broke apart.

"Of course, I'll see you tomorrow. Enjoy your evening."

"You too." He started walking away and I entered the house until I couldn't see him anymore.

Andrew's POV

I didn't need Sophie. Screw her. I have many girls lining up to date me. I laid on the bed and felt a vibration in my pocket. I pulled my phone out to find Stacy texting me.

That girl always made me smile. She's so much better than Sophie. She jokes around, makes me laugh and smile when I'm feeling down, and makes me feel comfortable.

Her: heyyyy! hru?

Me: meh. Sophie and I broke up

Her: oh!! I'm so sorry! I'm sure you're going through a lot! If you need anything don't be afraid to ask 😉

Me: that would be appreciated, thanks! In fact, do you mind coming over to my house? I need someone to talk to

Her: Of course! I'm on my way right now!

Me: I'll see you then!

I turned off my phone and smiled, looking at the ceiling. Stacy just made me feel different. I'm glad she was coming over. I needed her company.

(Time Skip 10 minutes)

I heard a knock on the door and fixed my hair before opening it.

"Andrew! Hi!" She reached to hug me and I gladly hugged her back. Once we broke apart I looked at what she was wearing. Her skirt was short, and she was wearing a tight cropped shirt.

"You look amazing."

"Thank you. I'm so sorry to hear about Sophie, but in my opinion I think you're better off without her. You never deserved someone like her."

"You think so?"

"Oh yeah. You guys had nothing in common and are from different worlds even. But I'm sorry about that."

"It's fine really." I stopped for a moment. "I think I have my eyes on another girl."

"Really? Who is that lucky girl?" I didn't say anything. Because the girl I liked was her. But I'm sure she likes me back.

"You." She blushed, and smiled, running into my arms.

"I like you too." We stayed for a second before smashing our lips together. I had lost balance so I ended up on the couch, and least to say... Things got heated from there.
