So I was wrong. Wedding planning was exhausting. We had to pick venues, the date, guests, food, types of flowers I want for a bouquet, table clothes, forks, decorations, cakes, and the dress.

We don't have any of that yet and we've been planning for weeks. Fitz and I have a cake tasting today and next week I go dress and shoe shopping with Linh, Biana, my mom, and Della. And that will suck terribly because I hate dresses and shopping.

Fitz and I met up with our wedding planner, finding 5 people behind a table which had four different pieces of cake in front of them.

"So here we have 5 people from 5 different bakeries with samples of different cake flavors," our wedding planner, Delilah, explained. "So starting off here is Johnny's Bakery with the flavors being chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and lemon." Fitz and I took the provided forks and took a bite into every piece of cakes.

"It's between chocolate and strawberry for me." I answered.

"Chocolate and vanilla." Fitz answered. After a small discussion we decided chocolate was the best one. We moved on to the other slices of cakes until we reached our last bakery.

"So this is J&A's Pastries, featuring a lemon, strawberry, chocolate with a raspberry jam in between layers, and a vanilla cake with a chocolate ganache with a couple fresh fruits thrown in between layers." Delilah explained. Fitz and I quickly tasted them and immediately decided the vanilla cake was the best.

"Okay, out of all of the pieces, who do you think was the best?" Delilah asked. We had quickly agreed it was the vanilla from J&A Pastries.

"Vanilla from J&A Pastries," I said.

"Okay wonderful. Thank you all for coming." Delilah said to the bakers. They nodded their heads and left. Then Delilah brought out a big binder.

"Okay, these are the cake designs you can choose for your cake." She handed the binder to me and the both of us started to go through the different cake designs, a specific one that caught our eye. It was a simple white and light pink with several edible flowers that decorated the outside and it was painted lightly by small gold bits. At the top there were two people, the bride and groom with a few extra flowers at the top.

"It's simplistic but very pretty." Fitz said.

"Yeah, it has my vote." Fitz smiled.

"Mine too." Delilah smiled and took the binder away, bringing a random whiteboard marker and placing a star at the right corner of the picture.

"Okay wonderful! Cake tasting aside, have you two thought about catering yet?" We shook our heads. "So we can start with that next." And for the next hour and a half we spoke about the foods we were going to have at the wedding and who we'd cater from.

Once we were finished we went to Fitz's apartment, collapsing on the bed.

"Wedding planning is tiring." Fitz chuckled, wrapping his arms around me.

"We haven't even gone through the hard stuff yet. But cake tasting is going to be the easiest step of them all."

"I just remembered. We have to send out invites to everyone we're inviting."

"Well we need to know who we're going to invite first, but speaking of invitations I had been looking at a few templates that we could use online and choose out of the ones I picked."

"You're so much more organized than I am. I have no idea where I am." He laughed, kissing my forehead.

"It's normal sweetheart, don't get too stressed with everything. But if you want to be ahead a bit we could start thinking about who we want to invite." Fitz offered. I nodded my head and rolled out of bed. The two of us made our way to take a seat at the table with a notepad and pen.

"Your parents, my parents, Biana, Linh, Dex and his whole family, Tam, Keefe... who else?" Fitz shrugged his shoulders.

"It's a total of 14 people already. I mean we wanted a small ceremony in the first place. Anyone from work you would like to invite?" Fitz asked. I shook my head.

"Not really. And maybe we could invite a few extra people, maybe from your side of the family?"

"My family is complicated, I'm not very close with many of my extended family." I nodded. Fitz had told me a couple times about his family members but he never really liked to go into details.

"So 14 people?" Then I just remembered.

"Ooh Marella. She's a friend of mine who works at the bookstore. Add her to the list," Fitz wrote her name down.

"So 15 people, that's a pretty good amount." He said.

"Yeah, anyone else you can think of?" I ask.

"Not really. And 15 is a fine number for a wedding." He said. "And this is what I was thinking of as a couple templates for wedding invitations." He turned on his computer and showed me what he had in mind. They were nice and classy templates and we had both decided on a teal and brown one, with cursive lettering.

We put everything away and laid back on his bed, Lilia soon joining us.

"I can't wait to be able to call you my wife in a couple months." I smile, placing a kiss on his lips, placing my hands on his cheeks. Fitz kissed me back passionately, running his hands through my hair.

"Can't wait to call you my husband too." I said in between breaths. He placed a gentle kiss on my neck, snuggling his head in the crook of my neck. I rubbed small circles on his lower back, pure silence filled the room. It was nice to be with Fitz, nothing was said, but at the same time, everything was said.
