Chapter 11

Fitz's POV

I was so confused. Did she like me? Or was it just the alcohol? I wasn't sure what to do and kissed her back ignoring the alcohol. I broke apart and shook my head. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't be taking advantage of her while she's drunk.

I take her to my room and get her settled under the covers. I place some things beside her such as a bucket, toothbrush and toothpaste, and water and Advil.

She still played with her fingers and giggled to herself.

"Sophie, can you try to sleep? Please?" She nodded and giggled some more.

"Okay please try to go to sleep." I pull the covers over her and turn off the lamp.

I change my clothes and get myself ready for bed to sleep on the sofa to give Sophie space. When I checked back on her she was still awake.

"Can you stay?" I smile and nod. I lay next to her and Lilia comes to join us in the middle.

"Good night Sophie." She grabbed my hand and smiled. I continued to pet Lilia but then felt my eyelids begin to get heavier and heavier but the last thing I saw was Sophie sleeping.

And then I fell asleep.

Sophie's POV

I wake up with a pounding headache and sit up. I didn't recognize the room. Where am I? I still had all my clothes on and I found small items beside me. Then I turned around to find another person there.

I jumped and pulled the covers higher on me, even though I was fully clothed.

When the man turned around my face turned red and my jaw dropped.

IT WAS FITZ

How the hell did I spend the night with my boss? Why the hell am I here? How am I here? He stirred in his sleep and his eyes slowly opened.

"Oh you're awake. Good morning."

"Good morning but how in the world am I here?" He yawned and sat up.

"You were drunk yesterday. Like really bad. I was waiting outside the club and found you leaving it. Sophie that was seriously dangerous. Who knows what could've happened to you? You could've walked in the road and could've gotten hit by a car. I'm so glad I was there because god forbid what could've happened." My cheeks turned red.

"I'm sorry, for all of this. I hope there wasn't anything that I said or done that was embarrassing." He stayed silent.

"Well I wouldn't use uhm embarrassing, although you did do something." My eyes widened.

"What was it?" He continued to stay silent.

"You uhm kissed me." My eyes widened and I buried my face in my hands.

"Oh my god that is so embarrassing, I'm so sorry for that."

"I know you were drunk and all but what had made you want to do that?" Well I couldn't tell him I like him. Or else that'll just be even more embarrassing than this already is. But what if he likes me back? Maybe Biana and Linh were correct.

But I wasn't going to do it.

"I really don't know. I think it was just the alcohol's doing." His face dropped and he nodded.

"That makes sense. Since you're already here, would you like to have breakfast?" I shook my head.

"No thank you but it was kind of you to offer. I should probably start heading home anyways." He nodded.

"May I at least drive you home?"

"I would like that thank you." He smiled and started getting out of bed. "I'm sorry about all of this. I hope I can make it up to you sometime."
