My head is on Fitz's chest as we lay on his bed, pure silence filled the room.
"So did you organize the press conference?" I ask him.
"Yeah, Friday noon." Fitz answered.
"And how do press conferences work?" I ask.
"It's just a bunch of photographers and interviewers asking us questions. And if any of the questions are uncomfortable you don't have to answer." I nodded.
"Okay. The workspace has been so much quieter lately."
"Is that a good thing or bad thing?" Fitz asked.
"A very good thing. I always like a quiet place to work, I've noticed it's been more quiet ever since Andrew left." Lilia came into the bed, cuddling into Fitz. Fitz chuckled and started petting her.
"I realized I should've fired him much sooner."
"Why didn't you?" I asked, starting to pet Lilia as well.
"Because he was dating you."
"What does the fact he was dating me have anything to do with you firing him?"
"I don't really know, I guess it was just because I didn't want you to be mad at me if I did." Fitz answered.
"I wouldn't have said anything. I think I would've been happy if he left the company. You wouldn't fire him just because you wanted to, and I would've understood." Fitz grabbed my hand, rubbing his thumb gently across the back of it.
"Do you wanna come on a walk with me? I know Lilia is very eager to get out." And he wasn't wrong, the small dog was running around the apartment excitedly.
"Of course." Fitz changed into something more appropriate for the weather, got everything for Lilia and after putting our shoes on we headed out. We walked together hand in hand as Fitz held onto Lilia's leash. She seemed very happy to be outside and barked a lot.
After a little walking we made it to a dog park where Fitz took off her leash and let her run around. We sat on a bench while still keeping an eye on Lilia.
After 10 minutes of running around, Fitz put the leash back on Lilia and walked her back home. Once we entered his apartment, he took off Lilia's leash and she ran around the apartment excitedly. Fitz washed his hands and entered the kitchen.
"Do you want to stay for dinner? I'm making your favorite." He asked.
"I should get going."
"Are you sure? I'm making spaghetti and I got fresh strawberries this morning." His spaghetti was really good and I love strawberries.
"Sure." He smiled and I entered the kitchen to help him.
Once we finished making dinner, we started to set the table. We washed our hands before sitting at the table.
We put the food on our plates and we started to dig in.
"We did a good job." He commented after swallowing his first bite of pasta. I nodded in agreement.
"It is." We continued to eat and talk until it had turned very dark. We hadn't even noticed the time, which is 9:30.
"You still want to go home?" Fitz asked, taking our empty plates to the kitchen. "You're always welcome to spend the night."
"We have work tomorrow though, I don't have an extra pair of clothes here."
"Wake up earlier and go home early or if you'd like I could ask Biana to bring an extra pair of clothes for you to change into." He offered.
"Would that be okay with Biana?" I asked.
"Yeah of course. So you'll stay over?" Fitz asked.
"Yeah." He smiled, finishing up the dishes. He cleaned a bit more and turned off the lights. We sat on the sofa, his arm wrapped around me, while I rested my head on his bicep.
We stayed in silence for a while and then we continued to talk again.
After talking and watching a bit afterwards, we decided to head to bed.
