Chapter 31

It's been a week since we've asked the triplets to participate in our wedding and Fitz and I were driving back to their house to give the ring for Rex to keep safe for the whole month.

When we rang the doorbell we heard loud yelling from inside the house, the door eventually being opened by Bex.

"Hey guys! Come on!" She opened the door and we entered the house.

Kesler and Juline entered the room and we greeted them with hugs.

"How are you two?"

"We're doing just fine, thank you, you?"

"We're doing great. You don't want to know how excited Rex is, or all three of them for that matter. And we'll try to keep an eye on the ring for you."

"Thank you." Fitz and I took a seat on the couch and the triplets took a seat across from us. Fitz pulled the ring box from out of his pocket, and Rex's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Remember, you're doing this for a full month and I'm putting my full trust in you to keep it safe."

"You can trust me," Fitz nodded, handing the ring box to Rex.

"Oooh can I see?" Bex asked, reaching over to grab the box. Rex shook his head and put the ring box in his pocket.

"None of you guys are going to screw this up for me, so no, none of you can see it." Bex pouted. Knowing that there was a hope for the ring, we continued to talk with the five of them.

"Where did Fitz propose?" Bed asked, intrigued.

"He actually proposed in Paris." Her jaw dropped.

"Why didn't you have the wedding in Paris?" Fitz and I chuckled.

"Well, we can't have all of our guests get a plane ticket to Paris." Fitz answered.

"How did you know you loved each other?" Bed asked again, earning her parents to sign at her constant questions.

"Bex, don't ask every question there is to ask. Lay off them." Juline said, earning her daughter to pout and slug her shoulders.

"It's okay aunt Juline, and to answer your question Bex, you don't know how or when you fall in love with someone, you just kind of do." I answered.

"Well you definitely chose a good one," she grinned, looking at Fitz.

"I did, didn't I?" I kiss Fitz's cheek earning a couple 'ew's' from Lex and Rex.

"Oh hush you two, stay out of their business." Kesler said, wrapping an arm around his wife placing a kiss on her temple to play around with the kids.

They grimaced and covered their eyes as they saw their parents showing the smallest amount of affection to each other.

"Well I think it's time to start heading out, thank you." We stood up, sharing hugs before Fitz and I headed to the front door.

We decided to go on a small walk, our fingers intertwined, through the brisk weather, the tree branches danced in the wind. Although it would be nice weather if you were dress appropriately, which I was not.

I was rubbing my arms for warmth and my action was clearly noticed by Fitz.

"Sweetheart, are you cold? I can give you my sweater," he offered, already starting to unzip it.

"You'd be cold, I don't want you to be cold while your sweater is giving me warmth." He chuckled, continuing to take off his sweater, placing it on my shoulders.

"I'll be okay darling, I want you to wear it." I slip my arms through it and zip it up, finding it a bit big but I loved them like that. My arms were immediately starting to get warm, while Fitz didn't look like he was bothered by the cold.

Fitz and I continued to walk the rest of the way to the car, where Fitz immediately started the heating.

"I told you you'd be cold." He shook his head.

"As long as you're warm." I looked down at my feet as a small smile grew on my face. Fitz was too sweet, but that's what I loved most about him.

Fitz started to drive home, it was silent but it wasn't awkward.

We were welcomed by Lilia's happy barks which filled the whole apartment. She jumped at us with excitement, following us around the place, sitting in Fitz's lap as we cuddled together on the couch.

"I want to marry you right now," he whispered, placing kisses on my neck and jaw, and I giggled at his sudden affection.

"Me too dear," he continued to show his affection, and I placed a small kiss on his lips before he turned a harmless little thing into something much more heated.
