Chapter 23

I heard my name behind me, finding Fitz behind me. I left my work at my desk and followed him to his office.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, wanted to talk to you a bit more about our trip. So I was wondering if you would want to go at 7am or at 8pm. I would want to go at 8pm so we can arrive there early in the morning, sleep in a bit and have breakfast outside. But we can do whatever you'd like." He offered.

"We can do it at 8pm. Anything else?"

"Yeah, do you have the paper that's due today yet?" Fitz asked.

"Yeah hold on." I went to grab my paper and came back, placing it on his desk.

"Thank you, I'll go over it later. I don't want to keep you from your work. Love you."

"Love you too." I left his office and closed the door behind me. I headed back to my desk and continued to work until the rest of the day.

I walked downstairs of the office with Biana, getting inside the elevator.

"Wait so are you and Fitz going to go on a trip together this week? That's all he told me." I nodded my head. She clapped her hands and smiled. "Ooh where."

"Paris." Her jaw dropped.

"No way."

"I know. He says it's a business trip but still wanted to bring me with him. He's the sweetest boyfriend."

"I want to go to Paris." I smile.

"I don't know how I ended up with someone like Fitz. He's the best."

"Yeah yeah stop bragging." We were out of the building and waited for a little bit until I felt an arm wrap around me.

"No, keep on bragging Sophie." Fitz said, planting his lips on the top of my head.

"Why can't you take me to Paris?" Biana whined.

"Because I'd rather bring my girlfriend along with me." She pouted. "Ask Tam to take you. Or go by yourself."

"That'll be boring. Oooh how about you give me your ticket and Sophie and I can go together!"

"If it's a business trip I kind of have to be there." She shrugged her shoulders. "And I want to be there with Soph." I wrapped my arm around Fitz's waist leaning into his chest.

"You guys are too sappy for me. I'll see you guys tomorrow." We waved bye to her as she hopped in the car with Tam, and the couple soon drove off into the street.

"We'll have a wonderful time in Paris. We'll tour the city, eat the food, and go on small walks at night together. And I got us a really nice hotel."

"That sounds wonderful. I can't wait." Fitz kissed me, placing a hand on my neck.

"Me too." We started to make our way to the garage, entering his car.

He soon dropped me off at my apartment, and I headed upstairs to mine. And as suspected Linh came in right after me.

"Sophie, you're finally home! I've been wanting to pack things for you but I stopped myself so you're welcome." I laugh, bringing my quarter filled luggage out.

"I've already got pajamas. I just need clothes, toiletries, and books." Linh rolled her eyes at the last thing.

"Sophie, you're going on a trip with your boyfriend to Paris and you're bringing books?"

"Well of course. I won't read during the day when I'm with him but on the plane ride and at night." I say, opening my drawers, taking pants and shirts and transferring them to my luggage.

"You better bring something sexy there. Not only pants and shirts."

"I'll probably bring a couple dresses along with me." She rolled her eyes.

"Good. Take a bunch of photos, when I see them it'll be like I was there too."

"Don't worry, I will."

(Time Skip to Wednesday)

Fitz and I boarded the jet, giving our luggage to someone before we boarded and inside was very very nice. Mini sofas on the side of the jet, in front of them being a seat facing the sofa, a little coffee table and another seat across from it. There was a little fridge, or that's what I assumed it was.

"This is so cool." Fitz chuckled.

"There's a bathroom in the back and we still get served food here."

"Thank you so much. But why do you have a jet in the first place?" I ask. Fitz shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't really know. I forgot why I bought it, but there's a good use for it now." We took seats, buckling our seat belts, conversing a bit before we started to lift off.

"How busy will you be when we get there?" I asked.

"I'll for sure be gone for a lot of the afternoon and probably a part of the morning." That was a lot of time.

"So when would we actually go out together?"

"Soph, I promise I'm not going to forget about you. I'll plan a few things, but you can always go by yourself." I sighed.

"But I don't want to go by myself, that won't be as fun as having you there would be." He grabbed my hand, and kissed my temple.

"I know, and even though I will be a bit busy I don't want to stop you from touring the place." I rested my head on his shoulder as he rubbed his thumb against the back of my hand. "But we will go out and sightsee together. Because on the third day I don't have anything so we'll spend the whole day together." I smiled, gently placing my lips on his.

"Perfect."
