Dating Fitz was great. We've gone on a couple private dates which were very good and fun and it was great to know Fitz even more. Over the past week Fitz had been dropping off Lilia over which I had no problem with because she was an amazing and adorable dog.
I woke up in the morning feeling terrible. I was coughing and I had a fever. I woke up late for work and laid in bed coughing every second.
I grabbed my computer feeling so lazy and tired just to lift my arm, but I did it. I emailed Fitz telling him about my fever. After I sent it, I couldn't get out of bed. I lazily left my bed and quickly made it, which I was already going to ruin later and grabbed a wet rag and put it on my forehead, making myself honey lemon tea. I poured some in a cup and laid in bed.
I heard a knock on the door once I was halfway through my cup of tea and I groaned. I made myself get out of bed and I opened the door and saw Fitz.
"What," I coughed, "are you doing here?"
"I heard my girlfriend is sick so I came with soup and I'm taking care of you for the rest of the day." Fitz answered. I let him in and he set the soup on the counter.
"Wait what?" He chuckled.
"I said, I'm taking care of you for the day." I coughed again.
"You have work." I answered.
"I left someone in charge. I'm not letting you stay sick by yourself with no one taking care of you. So we're getting you into bed." He gently grabbed my shoulders and led me to my bed, tucking me inside.
"I'll get your soup for you." Fitz said, soon coming back with a bowl of soup. The bowl sat on a tray with orange juice and a spoon next to it.
"I expect you to finish it all Sophie," I groan, coughing again.
"At least eat a good amount then," he compromised. I started to eat the soup which was quite delicious. Except I didn't eat it all, but I had enough.
Fitz looked at the amount I left.
"That's fine, I'll get this out." He picked up the tray and set everything in the kitchen. He came back with a thermometer and another wet rag. He replaced the one I had now and put the thermometer in my mouth. After leaving it in there for half a minute he took it out looking at the temperature.
"100 degrees." Fitz said, putting the thermometer down. He sat down next to me and kissed my temple.
"I don't want you to get sick." I say as he rests his head on my shoulder.
"It's worth the risk. I don't care anyways, as long as you're healthy, to me that's all that matters." I smile at his words and interlace our fingers together.
"You're amazing." He shook his head, chuckling.
"I care about you a lot, I want you to feel good and be healthy all the time." We stayed in silence and watched TV. After a while Fitz spoke again.
"Are you hungry? I could make you something," Fitz asked. I shook my head. "Well I'm going to change your rag," he said, taking the one off my forehead and coming back with a much wetter one.
"Thank you." He smiled and kissed my temple.
"Are you sure you're not hungry?" Fitz asked again. I shook my head.
And that's how it went for the rest of the day. Fitz continued to baby me, but it was really sweet of him. I truly was lucky to have a boyfriend like Fitz.
(Time Skip)
I was back at work on Monday and Fitz and I just had a date yesterday which I enjoyed. It was in a very private spot and he picked me up at around sunset so we had also gotten to stargaze. We had a small picnic and it was very nice and calm.
