Eleazar's pov

As we walked into the office an older with greying Auburn hair looked up and smiled at Ro.

"Thea! Oh, I'm sorry, I heard you are choosing Rosalind now. How wonderful to see you!"he beamed in a thick French accent.

"It's great to see you sir,"

The two shook hands quickly and then he turned to me and hesitated for a moment. "H.. hello." He said smiled and shook my hand. "Émile La Fey."

"Eleazar Sallow, thank you for meeting with us."

"Anything for Rosalind. I heard it was quiet of the essence that we meet." He gestured to two chairs that sat in front of his desk, telling us to sit, while he sat back in his chair. "You know, you look very much like my nephew. Perhaps you know of him, Marc La Fey."

"Something like that," I sighed awkwardly as I sat down. "Sir.. this going to sound wild. But I'm your grandson."

Émile looked between us before laughing. "Very funny."

"I wish I was trying to be funny. My mother is Ava La Fey, Ava Sallow after she got married. Do you have children in this world?"

"In this world? No.. no children. I'm not even married." He shrugged.

"But you did have feelings for your sister in law? Laurent's wife?"

His eyes squinted, "what is this about?"

"In my world, where I'm from, I can time travel and travel to different worlds, you and my grandmother have a daughter. Your brother finds out and kills you and then proceeds to raise the child in a horrific way. She's my mother, Ava, Grammie said you always wanted to name a child Ava."

"I... uh. I mean yeah I did but I don't have a child."

"I know. She uses ancient magic. So she can't be born in multiple worlds."

"This makes no sense,"

"I apologize. I know it doesn't. However I need your help." I leaned forward. "Do you poses any magic that is more then regular magic?"

Ro looked at me confused, "you think he poses ancient magic?" She asked.

"Or something, that fire spell was different than anything I've ever seen. And I regret not turning around to see who casted it."

"You think I cast it?" He asked.

"I do.. or at least I hope."

He looked down and sighed. "Unfortunately due to an injury when my brother attempted to kill me years ago. I don't have much magic anymore. I can cast a few spells... but I'm no better than a Muggle these days."

I tried to hide how much I felt my heart break.

"I can see it in your eyes this isn't the answer you thought you'd get. I hope you do find it though. And when you do find your answer I hope your mother would like to come meet me. I'd always wanted to know what it was like to have a daughter." He smiled sadly.
