Unbeaten, book 3

Errand run

As the door way closed behind us I looked over my shoulder at my husband as he adjusted his clothes. Future clothes looked... particularly handsome on him.

"What you chose isn't much different then your normal work attire...." I looked down at his white buttoned up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and dark jeans.

"Willa said this is a normal thing to wear..." he gestured to my outfit, "what about you? Wearing a short dress?"

I looked down at my light yellow sundress that ended at my knees, "don't act like you haven't seen my legs before. Plus I used to wear a dress like this all the time when we were young,"

"What if... other men... stare?"

As if a in que a woman walked by in incredibly tight pants. we both openly stared as she walked info the building next to us. "yeah, I'm fine,"

I looking into the small purse Willa had given me to use and pulled out a folded piece of paper. I unfolded it and showed Sebastian. "Not sure why we had to come to Willa's time for this stuff... I probably could have made it."

"No they wanted us out of the house. I just don't know why," Sebastian read the list over. "What are... peach rings?"

"A gummy candy. Anne had me try it before,"

We walked into the store watching everyone rush around us knowing where they needed to go. It was almost like everything moved in slow motion.

"'Scuse me!" An older lady yelled from behind us making us jump.

"Oh, im sorry," Sebastian smiled as he moved us out of the way.

"You Brits! Think you own everything still!" She huffed as she walked by. So we aren't in the United Kingdom any more.

"What does that mean?" He asked me.

"Other countries don't enjoy British Muggles," I shrugged. "I even know this."

"Well.... What's on the damn list?"

"Bread....? We have that at home why did we need to come to twenty twenty-four?"

"I'm telling you they want us out of the house. They're up to something,"

I shrugged as I read the signs at the top of the aisles. I saw the one that read bread and bakery and walked towards it with Sebastian trailing behind.

I picked up the type of bread Willa described and turned to Sebastian, "did you pick up a basket?"

"For what?" He asked.

I silently looked at him until he got it. "The stuff..."

"Oh! I'll go grab it I saw them by the door." He leaned in and kissed my forehead.

"Okay, I'll head to..." I looked down at the list, "the deli? I guess? She put steak on here.."

"I'm pretty sure she just put random stuff on the list," Sebastian said as he turned around.

"Don't get lost please," I called out to him as he walked away

I walked towards the deli and saw a giant selection of meat along the wall "holy shit..." I mumbled. There was so much food. The bread isle was crazy too? Why is there so much food in the future? 

I looked at the signs to see where the beef was.

I walked up and looked at the packaged steak cuts on the wall and felt my eyes get wide as I saw the price. "Thirty dollars for two pieces of meat?" I said a little too loud.

My face turned red as I heard a couple people chuckle behind me.  "I'm not sure how good my money will be here..." I could use magic... that's illegal I'm pretty sure though.
