Eleazar's pov
"Well... I didn't think I'd see you ever again." Professor Fig smiled as Anne and I walked into his office.
"You weren't supposed to," Anne smiled as she hugged him. "It's nice to see you uncle Fig."
"What's the reason for the visit? Surely Ava isn't being that much of a menace," Fig teased as he sipped his tea.
I smiled, "not that exactly. But we do have to report something happened earlier in the week."
"Oh dear, what happened,"
"I was holding on to a repository that's under the school,"
"You mean... the repository's that Ranrok has been after? There's one under the school?"
"Yes sir," Anne confirmed.
"A week ago someone stole it from my living quarters." I admitted.
"Ranrok?" Fig asked as he stood up alarmed.
"I don't think so, with the charm around the school keeping out people with ill intent that shouldn't be an issue,"
"And we don't know who took, I take it?" Fig asked as he began to pace.
"No sir," I sighed.
"I feel I know," Anne admitted making me look at her. She glanced at me before looking back at the professor. "A woman who has been able to aparate in and out of the school."
"It isn't Abigale." I said over her.
"El all you know is her name."
"She's been helping me. It isn't her."
"Didn't she try to kill you?" Anne asked.
"That was a misunderstanding," I lied.
Anne threw her hands up. She turned to me to say something when the door opened to the office making us all look.
Ava peeked in nervously. "Professor fig...?"
"Yes my dear," Fig motioned for her to come in.
"I can come back later," she eyed me suspiciously.
"Well... I guess the cat is out of the bag," fig chuckled making Anne and I look at him worriedly. "Ava these are my associates from the ministry," Anne and I both frowned at that cover story. "They've come as undercover to investigate Ranrok."
"Is that true?" Ava asked me.
"Y.. Yeah," I said in an uncomfortable whisper.
"So you aren't distant family?"
Anne pushed down an eyeroll, "we are but.. extremely distant,"
Ava looked past me at Anne, "you're really pretty," she said softly.
