Adventure Twenty-Four

Dad, Sara, and I all sat on the couch as mum paced back and forth. Every once in a while she'd stop to say something but then would close her mouth and keep pacing.

"Avs?" Dad tried to talk but mum shushed him.

Mum finally stopped and looked at us. "I died?"

"You did... but we saved you." I said as I looked at my feet.

"Then you obliviated me?" Dad looked down.

"Once or twice.. so you wouldn't panic and so that the timeline wouldn't be so messed up."

"Then younger me got kidnapped."

"Yes, after you defeat Ranrok,"

"Why did they take Sara's daughter?" She sat on the coffee table and looked at us.

"The man and... well you thought it was me." Sara explained.

"And it's another me... I've never met a... broken me," mum ran her fingers through her hair. "I'm.. gonna sleep at the school tonight."

Dad looked at her confused. "Ava, why?"

"I'm not upset with you all. I just want to keep an eye on the twins." She turned to me and Sara. "You two will fix this. Sorry to throw you in it, Sara."

"It's fine. I want to help." Sara nodded.

Mum nodded. "There's the plan. Im going to pack some clothes." As she walked away dad was quick to jump up and follow her down the hall.

"Do you think they are going to fight?" Sara asked.

"I doubt it. They're fighting usually ends in making out." I stood up. "Let's get to work,"

"Yes! Where too?" Sara stood up excited.

We both looked at each other silently. I sighed, "I don't know, I don't know what world they're from."

"Oh... well.."

"Let's ask Anne. Maybe she'll know."

Sara smiled. "Oo! Okay!"

When we walked up to Anne's place I could hear Anne's rambling. I pictured Willa and Abigale sitting in her couch and watching her in silence while she paced. I went to knock but shrugged and opened the door.

"What if she's hurt! Or dead!" Anne yelled not even seeing Sara and I walk in since her back was to us. "Sara going missing could be such a bad sign! Did you know she has a kid!?"

Willa looked past Anne and smiled. "Hi Sara."

Anne spun around to look at us. Her eyes were swollen from tearing up. But she quickly wiped her eyes and pushed passed me to hug Sara. "Oh my god, you're okay!" She whined making me cringe away.

Sara giggled, "I'm okay. I found El pretty fast," Sara patted Anne's back calmingly.

I turned and smiled at Abigale as she stood up and took her and Willa's cups. She actually looked rested which made me happy. Gosh, she was so beautiful.

"What's going on?" Anne asked pulling me from my train of thought.

"Oh. Little Mum was kidnapped. And they took Sara's daughter thinking it was Sara." I explained.

"Why are you just telling me!?" She stomped her foot.

"You weren't here. We have it handled."

Sara patted Anne's head. "El.. we should tell her about the new information,"
