"You're crazy," the girl rolled her eyes and walked away from the other dad. He quickly followed after grabbing her wrists and spinning her back to face him.
"I was talking still," he growled.
"And I was done listening!" The girl spat back.
As she pulled away again he pulled his wand out and began to point it at her.
I yelled for him to stop but instead I sat up in bed sweating. I frantically looked around the room as Willa snapped up as well petting my sweaty head and trying to calm me down.
"Nightmare, honey it's a nightmare." She hummed softly. "Let's tone down the blue eyes. You're scaring me a tad bit."
I squeezed my eyes shut and began counting backwards from 100 and took deep breaths like she taught me. Once I got to 70 I opened my eyes and looked at Willa for her to check.
"The lights are out," she yawned and looked at our clock on the wall. It was the first thing we bought together when we got our home. "Damn, you are really good at having nightmares when we are supposed to wake up."
"I'm sorry," I muttered.
"Don't be sorry, I'm going to start the kettle." Willa proceeded to lay back into her pillow face first before rolling off the bed and slipping her slippers on. "You want waffles?"
"No it's okay, I don't have time. I need to see El before I head to the school."
Willa nods, "I'll put the coffee to go, I knew bringing the To go cups from my time were a great idea."
As she hurries out of the room I start to get up and stretch. My dreams, er... nightmares, had been more frequently. It's always someone different and they are with dad. They're either happy or they're fighting... every once in a while is mum... but it doesn't feel like mum.
It's almost like...
"Annie?" I looked up at Willa smiling at me, "you okay baby?" I looked down at myself and I had already gotten myself dressed. Slacks, a white button up and I was slowly pulling on mum's old green cardigan.
"You think my dreams are more than just that?" I asked her.
"That's why you're going to see El?" She walked up to me and placed the to go cup, of I'm hoping coffee, on the dresser. She wrapped her arms around my side and hugged me.
"Yeah, I think he's at mum's right now."
"Want me to go?" She asks as she places a kiss on my temple.
"No, I'll be okay." She lifts my chin and kisses me. "I love you."
"Love you, too." She spanks my butt, really hard, as she turns and heads back to the kitchen.
Picking up my coffee I turn around opening a door but when i do it's a deep orange. I cock my head to the side and slowly open it and peek inside.
"Hello?" I ask softly.
Inside I see a grassy field with small hills rolling through out. Under one of the few trees scattered around I see another version of my dad but this time with a woman dark hair. They are talking to each other softly the same way mum and dad do often.
It warms my heart to finally see a good story. I decide to just shut the door and this time open the correct one.
I walk through the blue door and into mum and dad's living room. Both the twins look up confused as I close the door and sit down next to them.
"You look tired," Andre goes to take a bit of his toast and jam but I yank it out of his mouth for that comment and eat it myself. "Hey!"
"Andre, it's seven am," I hear mum yell in the kitchen.
