Ava's pov

Maybe I shouldn't have assigned a paper so early in the year... I sighed as I finished grading and moved the parchment to the finished pile.

I leaned back in my chair and looked at Sebastian's framed photo on my desk. He waved at me and smiled making my heart pick up pace.

"Don't flirt I'm in grieving." I said to him making him shrug.

As I watched him I noticed his frame start to shake and lift causing him to look around confused. I reached forward and grabbed his frame just as he was about to be thrown off the desk.

Who ever was pulling him was stronger than me and dragged me on to the desk.

"Hey! Leave him alone!"

The force didn't stop which just made me more upset. "Quit it!" I yelled firmly making my eyes glow.

The force let go but in doing so made me realize I was hanging off with only my toe still touching the desk. So when the force stopped pulling I fell landing face first on the wooden floor.

"Ugh!" I groaned as I rolled over on my back. "You have to work on your anger!" I looked at the corner of the room as a shadowy figure stood against the wall. I got up and dusted myself off.

It didn't say anything. It never says anything. "Merlin's beard," I shooed it with my hand as I walked back to my desk to fix the papers and put my frame back. "Go terrorize someone else."

The shadow disappeared leaving me alone to clean up the mess that it made. I mean.. I guess I told it to go.. but at least help.

________

Andre's pov

"This is..." I looked at the paper in front of me then back at Marc.

"An official letter of employment, I want you to work for me in this world." Marc smiled.

"What about Anne? She's been my partner for years."

"I have an offer for her as well once she's ready."

I looked down at the offer letter. Anne and I have been over here more since Sebastian passed. Sara and the Sebastian in our world had really been encouraging us to stay as well. They both kept saying it's be better for Ava and Anne.

"I'd have to talk to her about it, I don't do things without my partner. She is my healer after all,"

"Of course! I may have gotten a little too excited when I received the okay."

"Do they know about my magic?" I asked him in a softer voice.

"Oh! No, not at all. I know you and Ava prefer to keep all of that off the books."  Marc smiled at me. "I really hope I get to work with you, little brother,"

The door to his office swung open suddenly as his new assistant hurried in with a bunch of papers. "Lydia..." Marc sighed. "We talked about the knocking before."

"I'm sorry sir! I'll get right eventually." Lydia blushed as she Tucked her dark hair behind her ear and smiled at us both before placing the papers on his desk and leaving.

"Lydia?" I asked him. "What happened to your old assistant?"

For the first time ever I saw my brother blush as he clearled his throat, "it's no long professional for Clara and I to work together,"

I squinted my eyes confused, "What does that mean?"

His face turned more read as he avoided looking everywhere but at me. "Clara and I... are now seeing each other."
