Eleazar's pov
My leg bounced as I sat on the bench connected to the fountain in the school. Andre sat next to me currently under a Polly juice potion with the hair from a random person we saw in Hogsmead.
"Have you heard from Mum?" I asked him.
"Willa said they were heading towards Germany,"
"Germany? Maybe I should have offered to help."
"You are doing enough right now." He gestured towards Ava as we watched her reading on another bench as students waved goodbye as they headed for the train.
"I'm worried, uncle Andre." I admitted. "The school is going to be virtually empty. And professors are leaving as well which means.."
"The barrier around the school won't be as strong." He finished, "all the teachers control the barrier."
"Yes, and I've been adding to it as well. But.. I don't think it'll be enough."
"I wish I could stay longer. But the ministry in this universe is also sending us to Germany."
"I thought the ministry would stay out of it."
"They are. But there are two aurors over there."
"My dad.. and who?"
"Newt's brother."
"Ugh... Theseus is annoying," I sighed. "How has Aunt Annie been? It's been ten years now but..."
"She's good, she says she barely remembers being sick anymore. I think having everyone from her universe and this one really helped her."
"And Aunt Sara?"
"Runs her father's shop in Spain with Sebastian. Her father retired last year."
"I forgot he'd finally been able to buy a shop to sell from. Does Sebastian speak Spanish?"
"A bit, he's rubbish at it." We both chuckled.
"I feel awful. I didn't go back and visit like Anne does. I felt responsible... for everything."
"Why would you feel responsible?" Andre looked at me confused.
"Had I fought harder to get away from the dark magic...they never would have had to go looking for a way to help me. And Sara would have been able to ride the train with her friends like she always wanted. She'd probably be a keeper. She'd be a bloody good keeper," I looked down at my shoes as I tapped my feet uncomfortably. I hated speaking about my feelings.
"I sense a bit of self doubt in you. Do you think you're not a good Keeper?" Andre asked throwing me off a bit.
I let a long breath and glanced at Ava. What ever book she was reading she had just read something that shocked her making her squeak and quickly glance around to make sure no one heard.
