As Sam and the rest of the pack got back to the reservation, the alpha split from the group, headed to the red house that was the Black's.

Knocking on the door, an older male opened the door, angling his wheelchair just so so, so that he could get the door open.

"Sam, this is a surprise." He said. "Billy. There is something I need to ask the council about." "Has something happened? Is someone hurt?" Billy asked and Sam shook his head. "No. It's Colette Swan. As you know she is a vampire, but there is something different about her." Sam explained.

"Something different as in an imprint?" "No, it's more like an instinctual feeling. That we shouldn't harm her. I've never felt this way, and Jared feels the same way." "And Paul?" Billy questioned. "He doesn't know what he feels. All he sees is hatred for their kind, but it's not like it's unexpected." Sam explained.

Billy nodded. "Do we know anything about her? We know some of the cold ones can possess powers. Could it be a side effect?" "She does have talents. Two. When she gets angry, plants die around her, and when I first found her in the woods when Charlie asked us to look for her, she transformed into Emily." "Emily?" Billy asked with an astonished look on his face, his eyes wide. "Yeah, as in my imprint. It only happened for me though. Paul and Jared still saw her as Cole. I'm not sure if she knows it happens." Sam told him and Billy nodded.

"I'll call a meeting. The main focus being this pull you all seem to have to her, and her abilities." Billy told the alpha and Sam nodded. "Let me know a time and place." Sam said as he headed out the door, only to catch the eye of Jacob, Billy's son, and one of the next Quileute boys to turn.

Shaking off the older man's stare, Jacob raced out to the shed where his rabbit was, the old car in severe disrepair, but the teen was slowly rebuilding it.

A squeak of tires on the surprisingly hard ground got the boys attention as his father opened the door to the shed. "Dad? What are you doing?" Jacob asked. "Just seeing how the rabbit was coming along. I saw you leave with Embry the other day to look for parts, but never got to see your haul." Billy said, an encouraging smile on his face as he was proud of his son. "It wasn't much. Just a carburetor and an old starter." Jacob told his dad.

When Billy didn't say anything more Jacob raised his head. "Dad?" "Hum?" "Was there something else you wanted?" Jacob asked. "Charlie called." Billy said and Jacob's eyes flew to him. "Is Bella okay?" The teen asked quickly, his head popping up, smacking it on the hood that was propped up with a small board.

"She's still going through her heartbreak, but I'm sure she could use a friend." Billy told him and Jacob didn't know what to do. "I'm not saying sweep the girl off her feet, son. I'm just saying have her out to the house. Go out, grab a bite to eat, watch a movie or something. You guys are friends. That's what she needs right now." Billy told him and Jacob nodded, but still thought it was best to wait, let her come to him.

"I'll let you get back to your fun." Billy said, but as he was about back out of the shed, Jake stoped him. "Dad?" "Yeah?" "What was Sam doing here?" Jacob asked and Billy sighed. "He needed me to call a tribal meeting." "What about?" Jacob asked, being the inquisitive teen he was. "Nothing that concerns you. Have fun and make sure to call Bella when you have a chance." Billy told him and Jacob nodded, his head already under the hood of the car again.

The Elders and the three members of the pack met at Sam and Emily's, the later making a spread for everyone.

"What seems to be the issue?" One of the Elders, Harry Clearwater, asked as they had all finished eating and had moved into the common room.

"There is a new Cullen. And you all know her." The alpha started off by saying and the elders looked around. "Colette Swan. She was changed by Carlisle Cullen upon her deathbed, as she is his mate." Billy informed, everyone turning to him. "How-" "Charlie." Billy answered simply.

"Charlie is aware of her change?" Another elder asked and Billy nodded. "Yes, and other than us, is the only one to know that she is still six foot above ground. It is to be kept that way." Billy said and everyone agreed. "Does he know of the pack?" "He knows we're different, but not that we're shifters." Sam answered.

A hum of acceptance rang out. "Then why this meeting?" Old Quil asked and Billy raised his head. "Sam, Paul, and Jared share a connection with her that no others seem to." All eyes seem to glance to the wolves as Sam speaks up.

"To us, we only know her as a cold one from her looks and her lack of a heartbeat, though we have noticed that even those can be deceiving. Her smell is different, instead of the sugar sweet smell that burns our noses, she has more of a natural scent, one more closely associated with us. She also has a peacefulness to her that almost attracts us to her. For some odd reason, our wolves don't see her as a threat, even as a cold one." Sam finished and Old Quil had a wide eyed look on his face.

"hashxatałítx taxí•lit or peaceful spirit. It is said there is one born every few centuries, they are a spirit that inhabits a body, seeking the collaboration or the coming together of supernatural species. They keep wars from happening, they keep the peace, and are said to become one of the most powerful creatures you will ever encounter if you ever know you do. They blend in well, if they know what they are. The tales tell of beauty and silver eyes that set them apart." Old Quil told the group.

"What color are her eyes?" Billy asked Sam. "Gold." "And?" Jared egged on. "And blue." "Blue?" Billy asked. It only happened at certain times. I told you she had gifts." "She may be much more gifted than you think." Old Quil said quietly, leaving the group to think about his words.
