A few days had passed in the Cullen house and Rosalie was still upset with Carlisle. Colette was trying to do damage control, explaining why he did his actions, though she didn't have a very good follow through as she didn't know how she could tell, but she could and that was all that mattered.
Cole had been trying to figure out what she could do to cut the tension in the house. It seemed like the house was not only divided because of the experiments, but also because of her niece. Jasper and Rose didn't like the thought of a human knowing when they weren't going to be changed immediately like they knew Cole was. Emmett, Esme, and Carlisle seemed to be on neutral ground, not necessarily liking her knowledge, but could understand why. Edward, Alice, and Colette were the ones who were happy she knew. Cole wasn't happy Bella would be placed in constant danger by knowing the truth, but at least she could know about her, and communicate.
Cole thought about what she could do and the things she would do as a human were out of the question unless they traveled out of the state and possibly even then as she couldn't be seen in public.
She had thought of a hunting party. Get everyone out of the house and make it a type of game, but Rosalie never really likes to play with her prey like the rest of them did. Then she found her inspiration. She heard Emmett stressing about how he was supposed to get Rose a birthday present. Asking Carlisle, she found out her birthday was in just a few days. It didn't give her much time but she thought if she concentrated really hard, there may be a possibility.
Colette locked herself in her and Carlisle's room. Trying to find the part of her gift that had even the possibility of giving her friend what she craved, she dug deeper and deeper.
"Cole?" Carlisle asked as he knocked on the door. Not getting an answer he started to get worried. Breaking the handle, he opened the door to see Colette asleep, dead to the world, soft snores coming from her mouth.
Carlisle wondered what she had been doing to make her so tired. He had realized the more she used her gift the more drained she became, so for her to be completely asleep. Instead of waking her he placed a blanket over her and let her rest.
Checking with his children, he asked if they had any idea what she was up to, and they had no idea. The couples had eventually gone to bed, Carlisle crawled into bed, waking Colette from her sleep. "I'm sorry darling." "It's okay. I was wondering if you were going to come to bed." Cole told him tiredly and he kissed her head.
She looked at him, her eyes connecting with his as she leaned up, connecting their lips. It was their first kiss, and the two of them were savering it. Colette had pulled away first, Carlisle chasing after her lips the second they disconnected from his. "Wow." She sighed as she looked at Carlisle, love shining in her eyes. "I love you." She told him. "I love you more than anything." Carlisle told her. Leaning up kissing his lips again, Cole had found her favorite place in the world.

The next morning had rolled around and again Carlisle had been kicked out of their room. His curiosity peaked to say the least, especially when Alice had run past him, and into their shared bedroom. "You really did it?" Alice asked and Colette looked at Alice in confusion. "I thought you couldn't read my future?" She asked. "Not yours." Alice said cryptically and a smile came to Cole's face. She had succeeded. Now all there was to do was wait.
"I'll plan the party. Oh this is so exciting!" Alice squealed. "How are we going to tell them?" "You mean if they don't figure it out on their own?" Alice asked her. "True." "You'll come up with something." Alice told her.
Snatching Alice's laptop, Colette had something she needed to find. The gift of all gifts. Finding the supplies, she ordered them, express shipping. They were supposed to be at the house by tomorrow. Now to figure out how she did it, so if she needed to she could do it again.
