Dashing from the room, not caring about checking out, as she had already paid for the room, Colette pushed herself to go faster.

Nature blurring past her as she moved like a bullet, elegant and graceful, but lethal and deadly.

Scrambling for her phone, she put in Charlie's number, only for it to go to voicemail. She tried again, but only to end in the same result.

Panicking she tried the house phone, but it also went to voicemail. Tears blurred her vision as an emotional growl left her lips. Finding the number she wanted, she hit dial, praying that what Alice told her over the multiple voicemails were true.

"Colette?" Jasper asked as he answered the phone, Alice grabbing the device as she put it on speaker. "Jasper, it's Charlie! She's going after Charlie!" Cole cried as she jumped, completely missing a River with her speed.

"Who?" "Victoria. She wants revenge." She growled out the redheads name. "When?" "I don't know I'm following her now, but I need you to be there. Please don't let anything happen to him." She begged as Jasper looked over to his wife. "Okay." He nodded hanging up the phone.

Cole's feet hit Forks, and it was showtime. Her eyes scanned the forests of the small Washington town, a wildness in them that no one had seen. Seeing the flash of red in between the large trees, Cole raced after her.

Unfortunately Victoria's scent lead her right to Charlie's back yard.

Crashing through the door, Cole saw her worst nightmare come to life.

Victoria had her brother by the neck, his feet dangling just inches above the ground. His eyes were wide and panicked, trying to get free from the violent stranger.

"Get away from him, you bitch." Colette growled, her eyes pitch black from the anger stirring.

Footsteps from behind made her stop, thinking it was Adam or Laurent, but the scent matched Jasper. "Look who's here Charlie. Sissy's back." Victoria smiled sinisterly as she dropped him, not to gently, to the ground.

"Lottie?" Charlie gasped, thinking his eyes were playing tricks on him. "Time to say goodbye." Victoria said softly, lunging for the Chief, but Cole was quicker.

She lunged just seconds before Victoria did. Grabbing the redhead, they fought, exiting out a back wall as growls and hisses were exchanged. Jasper joined the fight, protecting Cole just wanting the bitch gone from their life.

"Colette!" Charlie yelled afraid for his sister, if she was truly there, and not imagining her. She looked up, distracted. Jasper cast a look at her, still having a hold on the nomad, but with the small distraction, Victoria took her chance. Sinking her fangs into Jasper, he growled as he unintentionally let go of her, let Victoria slip from his grasp.

"Fuck!" Jasper hissed lowly as he chased after her, Cole's eyes still focused on her brother.

"Is that really you?" He asked, more for his peace of mind than anything. "Yeah, Charlie. It's me." "It's not possible. Your dead." Charlie huffed, his mind not understanding.

"People are scared of what they can't control. The only way to make them not afraid is to show them." Colette recited to him, his eyes wide. "What?" "For me to get better, I had to change." She told him, stepping closer, but he stumbled backwards.

"You died. We buried you!" Charlie yelled, his emotions taking over. "I'm okay. Carlisle saved me." She said gently, taking another step forward, he didn't move away, but his fight or flight was kicking in. "You died." He said, tears streaming down his face.

The woman in front of him had the face of his little sister, but things were different.

Her eyes, her voice, even her height was different. He couldn't wrap his mind around it. "Your not my sister." "Charlie-" "Don't call me that! I don't know what kind of sick game you think your playing, but it's done." He told her, his eyes stone cold as they looked at her. "Please." She begged. "Get away from me." He told her, his voice low and dangerous.

He turned to walk further into the house, when he grunted, his hand grasping his heart. "Charlie!" She yelled but she didn't know how to help him, instead she did what she thought was right.

"911, what's your emergency?" The operator asked. "Please, I think my brother is having a heart attack. 184 South 6th street. Please hurry." Colette said into the phone, then ended the call.

Cole sat in the forest, just inside the tree line. She watched as Charlie was loaded into the ambulance, she could hear him telling the paramedics that his sister was alive. She watched the police department pull up and examine the damage, their gaping mouths as they saw the hole through the house.

Through the whole ordeal she sat there, staring off into space as her other senses kept up with the things going on around her.

That's where Alice found her. Climbing into the tree, Cole didn't seemed to realize she was there as her eyes never moved, nor did she turn to face her. "Hi Alice." She whispered.

"Hey." The pixie girl greeted somberly. She hadn't heard the words exchanged but she was watching through her visions. The conversation didn't look like a good one. "I'm guessing it didn't go well?" Alice asked and Cole scoffed.

"Nope, I'm just sitting in a tree by myself for no reason." She chuckled darkly. "Wanna talk about it?" Alice asked. Cole shook her head as tears filled her eyes for the umteenth time since she had become a vampire. "Oh sweetie." Alice said softly pulling her into a hug, as she cried.

She just wanted her life back. She wanted her brother back, she wanted to go into town, she wanted to be able to work in the hospital again.

"Carlisle's worried about you." Alice told her. "Then why didn't he come?" Cole asked as another wave of tears flooded her eyes. "He's afraid of how you'll react." She told her. "Afraid of me you mean." Colette asked and Alice looked down. "Not exactly. Cole, your gift is linked to your emotions. You've been through a lot, and Carlisle didn't want to add to that."

"If he didn't want to add to it, he shouldn't of tried to play baseball with my abuser." Colette hissed. Alice looked at her, uncertainty in her eyes that made Cole reel in her emotions. "Sorry."

"I don't mean to sound harsh, but we've never had someone in our family that could physically harm someone. Yes, Emmett's strong, and Jasper could inflict emotional damage, but you could kill someone, you have. Not without cause of course, but we have to learn how to help you control your powers. You are both side of a coin, we just have to learn how to live on the edge." Alice told her and Cole breathed out.

"What am I going to do about Charlie?" She asked Alice and she shrugged her shoulders. "He's seen you now. He knows you're alive. If he comes out of the hospital still believing your alive, he's going to try to find you, and the first place he's going to look is the house." Alice told her. "We need to talk to Carlisle." Colette told her, and Alice nodded. "I know you have your reasons not to, but this is your brother." Cole sighed, nodding. 'It's for Charlie.'
