Chu was sitting in the small dining room when he heard Yunlan quietly walk along the hall returning to Wei's room, and he slowly approached to ask if he would like a coffee as he glanced over at Wei asleep, so Yunlan left and joined him to sit at the dining table.
"Large coffee please, and then you can explain the quick fix for nausea." Yunlan said as he smiled towards Chu who lifted the cups and brought them over, placing one in front of Yunlan.
"I can produce strings to help, medically or stronger if needed." Chu said as he watched for any kind of disbelief from Yunlan but it didn't happen. He was too tired and still in shock with some of the information that he had acquired in the library.
"I'm not doubting you Chu, I'm just a bit tired, it's been a weird day. You knew about my history and Shen Wei and you never said anything, I understand why, I wouldn't have believed you."
"Maybe it's time you slept as well, things always look better in the morning, someone said that to me recently. Ask Kunlun to sort out a room for you, I'll head back to the office before I go home. See you tomorrow."
Yunlan asked one of the guards to take Chu and he then spoke to Kunlun about refreshing his room for another night, while he returned to sit beside Wei for a while. He looked very peaceful, no crazy dreams disturbing his sleep and Yunlan could feel himself dozing, struggling to keep his eyes open but gave in and his head fell forward beside Wei's hand.
Kunlun had finished preparing his room, and was returning to inform Yunlan that it was lovely and fresh, ready for him anytime but he found him fast asleep beside Shen Wei who had not shown any awareness of the other person resting his head beside him, their level of consciousness gave him cause for concern.
His first thought was to check the security cameras. It could be a substance to promote sleep, and he ran the recording back for at least ten minutes. Nothing there, next thought, check the guards, if they're asleep too, then someone is in the mansion. All four guards were soundly asleep and in different poses depending on what they were doing when the silent attack happened.
Kunlun was trying to be methodical, checking the readings for air quality, maybe that would tell him something, and just as he reached towards his consoles all power to the mansion was cut off. Lights, monitors, security, everything, thankfully he was still attached to the watch otherwise he would have powered down down as well but his equipment was in the process of activating on emergency standby, only the vault not the house. Whoever had caused this wouldn't know that Kunlun had power or that he even existed.
The intruders were part of the other team sent to raid Kunlun's vault and had gone ahead with their plan, unaware that their boss was in jail, along with the rest of team one. They had introduced the mild sleeping gas into the air conditioning of the mansion to knock out anyone in their way, but hadn't allowed for an angry hologram who was furious about the home invasion. Kunlun never had any reason ever to be angry with anyone and this was a whole new experience for him. He knew the rules about not killing humans ever, but it didn't mean that he couldn't hurt them in some way, especially when he saw both his masters and the guards unconscious.
