Yezun was staying close to Chu hoping that when they learned anything they would mutually share information but so far, nothing. He had dispatched two guards to watch the mansion for any kind of activity, knowing that Shen Wei was in the vault in the basement but had no information about Zhao Yunlan or what the crooks were really after. The office staff had been asked to search the suspects files for any property that could be used to hold Yunlan as a hostage but so far, they were hitting brick walls, and getting nowhere in their search.

Yezun became aware of 'a life slowly fading, of being proud to have saved his important person, of happiness in achieving his sworn vows, of the gratitude he was shown by the person holding him, while he breathed his last breath, and his eyes lost focus.'

Yezun swayed and held onto a desk to regain his balance, while the remaining four guards suddenly appeared in front of him in the middle of the office, knowing that they had lost another colleague, and he turned to speak to Chu.

"Chu Shuzhi, we have lost another guard, we believe that he was undercover protecting Zhao Yunlan, his memory came from the area near the base of Mount Kunlun, could you ask your staff to check that area while we pay our respects to our friend."

Chu nodded in agreement and announced to everyone informing them to look into any property in that area. Zhu Hong had been revived after her 'faint' and they had to explain to her that Yunlan had been kidnapped, but her attitude hadn't changed much and she thought that the kidnappers must have mistaken him for someone else, and grabbed the wrong person. Therefore when the notification message came through to her computer she didn't see the need to inform anyone, let him wait a little longer, it said that he was OK, but after hearing Chu's statement she had to admit that she had received a notification. Chu glared angrily at her but held back his temper and announced to everyone that a message had been received and where Yunlan could be found. Yezun and the guards took over and two were immediately sent to collect him and the two prisoners.

The cabin was still warm even although the temperature was dropping outside after the sun had gone down, and the two crooks with upset stomachs were recovering. Yunlan had tied their hands because he hadn't any handcuffs, but as long as they were restrained, he could feel a bit safer. Unfortunately he didn't know how long he would have to wait until help arrived, or even if Kunlun had been successful in contacting his office.

His prisoners were sitting quietly on the floor with their hands tied behind them, slowly working at the bindings to loosen them enough to free themselves. Yunlan could only use what was available in the cabin and the rope he found was not top quality, he had realised that it would eventually stretch, so he had positioned his whip in such a way, that it would react when necessary if he was in danger. The temperature dropped sharply in the cabin and Yunlan had guessed that the guards were coming as the low cloud started to form inside, and he turned around glancing towards it.
