Yunlan felt comfortable where he was sitting, as long as he didn't try to move his head, which retaliated by giving him dizzy spells.

"What happened and where are we, and do you have anything to stop the countryside from spinning?" He asked Chu, who glanced at Ying hoping that he could do something to help and he nodded back.

"The thieves released a device which detonated under our car but lucky for us, we got out before the explosion. The shockwave blew us into the field and we managed to carry you here. I don't have anything medical with me but Guo Ying is skilled in the practice of reiki. He could help your head."

Yunlan's headache stopped him from doubting anything he was told and gladly accepted any help that would stop his world from moving.

"Please close your eyes and stay still." Ying instructed Yunlan, therefore he wouldn't see the stream of dark energy being used to treat his head injury, and the guard backed away when he was finished. Yunlan opened his eyes amazed and thankful that everything was back to normal.

"Thank you Guo Ying, now what were you saying about the jewellery theft, ulterior reasons, not money, gems?"

"Yes, if it was for money, it was not profitable. There are better targets, betting shops, banks, larger businesses with smaller cash offices. Most high street jewellers don't stock expensive pieces, they are more suited to ordinary shoppers, but they do have a larger selection of gemstones, not expensive but can be used for other purposes rather than adornment."

This was something that Yunlan or Chu had never considered, even if he was wrong, it was worth looking into, but they had to find transport to get back to the city centre before it got any later and darker.

"Anyone still have a working mobile?" Yunlan asked, and he started to look around for his, while Chu searched his own pockets, and Guo Ying mentally asked for help. In the distance, there was the sound of a bell ringing which made all three of them stop to concentrate on its direction, and they followed the noise. They found Yunlan's phone which had reset its ringtone after the blast and he had one missed call from an unknown number.

"Brilliant, at least Lin Jing can track us now and send some transport, the battery is still full, we can follow the road back the way we came and look for anything to suggest a reason why the robbers came in this direction."

Yunlan suggested as they began walking along the hard tarmac road, with Chu behind him and Ying at the back. The road was long and straight, tiring to see how far they had to travel on foot until Ying heard an engine in the distance behind them, and turned to stare at the vehicle. His eyesight was stronger than normal and he recognised what was coming towards them. Yunlan and Chu had no time to ask questions before he grabbed both of them and teleported them to be hidden by the bushes at the side of the road. The three of them landed in the soft soil with Yunlan and Chu confused about why they were suddenly in a field, but then they saw Guo Ying unconscious which stopped them from standing up, just as the black van drove past with the driver in full costume. They watched it drive away into the distance, realising that being in the field had probably saved their lives and they stared at Ying.
