Wei couldn't fight the tiredness anymore and he was forced to close his eyes and sleep, but waves upon waves of goodbyes assaulted his emotions. All the friends he had lost during his different lifetimes and the pain he was feeling in his heart was overwhelming his body. One of the guards was keeping watch from a safe distance trying to be invisible but knowing that he wasn't, which didn't deter him from guarding Black Robe who lay in the warm comfortable bed. It looked as if he was finally asleep but the guard could see the pain visible in his expressions from where he was standing, just outside the bedroom door, and knew that he wasn't resting, even without Ying's ability to feel Shen Wei's emotions, this guard was concerned over the level of discomfort he couldn't hide.

Eventually Yunlan returned to the office with his team, exhausted, and was completing the mountain of paperwork connected to this case which they could now close when he immediately became aware of the low clouds forming, and leapt up to close the blinds and the door, before they became visible to his staff. His sudden movement alerted Chu to the visit and he hastily moved towards Yunlan's office, entering just as one of the guards appeared, who dropped to his knees before speaking.

"My Lord, you are needed at home urgently. Lord Shen is unwell and in pain."

"Chu grab your jacket, you're with me, alright guard, take both of us please. What's your name?"

"Yes My Lord. My name is Yezun."

Yunlan and Chu were transported a little too quickly and both were nauseous when they arrived outside Wei's bedroom but Chu had a quick fix for that, which he would explain to Yunlan later. They approached Shen Wei who seemed to be asleep but wasn't, he looked as if he had a strong sharp pain in his heart. At first glance anyone would have thought that it was a heart attack but it wasn't.

"Yunlan it's not a true heart attack, it's a backlash from this afternoon's incident. I've seen him having backlash from events before, sometimes they hit him hard, but the pain he is feeling is emotional not physical. Talk to him and it will help, you've done it in the past, I'll leave you alone."

Chu strolled along to the small dining room for a coffee, not surprised at Wei's condition but was relieved knowing that he would be alright.

Yunlan didn't know what to say, even if he did talk him out of it in the past, he didn't know how. So he brought a seat over and sat beside him as he held his hand, waiting for him to open his eyes. He brushed his hair to the side of his brow and cupped the side of his face as he stood up to kiss him and sat down again. Yunlan looked at the pained expression on Wei's face and placed his right hand over his heart. He was mildly surprised when the whip slipped out of his sleeve and rested alongside, with it's green eyes glowing, pulsating to the slow beat of Yunlan's heart

Wei could feel the calmness settling his emotions and he began to breathe a little easier as he rested his hand on top of Yunlan's and he opened his eyes to see the concern in his lover's face as he spoke to him.
