Miranda decided to take time off from work after being discharged. Actually, Arizona decided she should and to save herself from a lecture she agreed.  Ben stuck around to take care of her despite her insisting she didn't need a babysitter. He knew it was just those emotional protection walls talking. She appreciated the gesture even if she didn't say it. Tuck liked having Ben around too especially because Ben would play dinosaurs with him. Ben would come over early to make breakfast for her and Tuck and stay right until bedtime.

They weren't quite dating again but rather building a friendship. She still felt like she wasn't ready to trust him with her heart fully. Despite his grand promise proposal, she was still hesitant. Ben was okay just being in her life. He knew he had to work hard to earn her trust and he was prepared to do that. He didn't rush anything and he was going to be patient with her. Rushing is what got them here.

He could acknowledge that he truly didn't know the woman carrying his first child. Yes, he wanted to be with her and loved her but he didn't know her. He was so ready to overlook that but fundamentally that's a big part of a relationship. He was enjoying getting to know her.

Today Ben decided he was going to take Tuck and Miranda to the museum. He promised Tuck he could see a real dinosaur. He got some breakfast sandwiches and drove to her place. When he knocked on the door he could hear Tuck excitedly yelling Ben's here. Miranda opened the door and had to hold Tuck back

"Someone is excited" Ben laughed walking inside

"All he can talk about is Ben and dinosaurs" She laughed

"It's Dino day" Tuck excitedly jumped up and down. He had on a T-rex shirt, a dinosaur hat, and his dinosaur backpack

"I brought breakfast Tuckosaurus Rex, you gotta eat first" He smiled
They ate their sandwiches well Tuck practically inhaled his sandwich, and they were out the door. Tuck was super excited about going to see a real dinosaur. Miranda was happy to see her son so excited. The divorce had been hard on him and seeing him happy was important to her. She recalled telling her father that much when he admonished her for getting a divorce. Oh boy, if he was ashamed of her for getting divorced and "breaking up her family" she didn't want to imagine how he would react if he knew she was having a baby with a man who was practically a stranger to her. She knew she had to tell her parents but she just wasn't sure when. She was glad she and Ben were on speaking terms now because that made the image slightly better in her eyes.
They got to the museum and Ben helped Tuck out of the car.

"There's more to see in here than dinosaurs, you think we'll get to enjoy any of it" Ben asked Miranda

"With Tuckosaurus Rex as you affectionately call him. I doubt it" She replied, laughing as they walked into the museum.

"Ben look" Tuck pointed to the whale skeleton hanging above them "Bones"

"I see buddy and there's more bones where we're heading" Ben smiled
They skipped over other exhibits so Tuck could spend as much time as possible looking at the dinosaurs.
He marveled at all the fossils and skeletons. He took a picture with a T-Rex skull.

"So Tuck loves Dinosaurs" Ben looked at Miranda

"Crazy about them" She nodded

"So I would assume his momma knows a thing or two about them" He chuckled
"T-Rex versus megalosaurus. Who wins"

"I have no idea" She shook her head

"You know who does. I do and so does Tuck. Megalosaurus is a tenth of the size of T-Rex, so T-Rex eats Megalo every time. But T-Rex versus Pteranodon, though"
