Ben had to propose sooner rather than later. The ring was in his sock drawer in his apartment and he just needed to give it to her. He was so excited he got ahead of himself and got in a habit of calling Miranda his wife. He was looking at homes for them to move in. He considered taking her to house hunting, buying a house, and then proposing in the house. He considered just popping the question, he considered doing a crossword puzzle. But he scratched all those ideas. He knew he had to do something that would cater to Miranda Bailey.

Hide the ring in a body? No that's absolutely ridiculous. He took the ring box out of his drawer sat on the edge of the bed and stared at it. How was he going to give it to her? It has to be perfect. But then again nothing in their relationship has been perfect. He sighed and got ready for work sticking the ring back in the drawer.

Once he arrived at the hospital he was surprised to see Steven in the lobby talking to Sloan.

"Steven" Ben walked up to him

"Benjamin" Steven smiled and hugged him

"Stevie what are you doing here" He asked

"I'm here for you" He smiled "with plane tickets to LA"

"You flew from LA to bring me plane tickets back to LA" Ben asked

"Of course not" He laughed "I flew in from Boston. I was called in to do a consultation man. Me"

"Me leaving LA was a career boost huh" Ben teased him

"And I'll thank you for it every day. Also, you inspired me to settle down with a lady of my own" He smiled

"What Steven grew up" Ben laughed

"When you threatened me the day of your daughter's birth, I did some thinking about my attitude. I needed to make some course corrections about my life. I met the most beautiful woman when I was doing a talk at a college. She's the professor"

"A professor wow look at you" Ben laughed

"You'll meet her in LA when you come" Steven nudged him

"If I come. I mean I didn't get a chance to talk about it with Miranda and then there's the kids" Ben sighed

"On you absolutely will go Warren" Sloan gave him a look "You're a keynote speaker man"

"A keynote speaker" Ben was confused

"A weekend conference. They want us to talk about minimally invasive surgery using the robot" Steven smiled "They want us Ben"

"And this is a huge opportunity, especially in the world of plastics and you're going" Sloan nodded

"I would like it but I need to talk to Miranda" He shrugged

"Speaking of wifey when are actually marrying Miranda" Steven nudged Ben

"Uh" Ben just cleared his throat

"Ohh you're plotting, yeah" He laughed

"I just can't make up my mind on how I'm going to do it" Ben sighed

"Just get down on one knee and do it man" He put his hand on his shoulder "Don't overthink it"

"I want it to be just right for her" He sighed

"Let me guess you thought about a crossword didn't you" He chuckled "Those require her to be still enough to actually do it and Miranda is always moving my guy. She is probably in surgery right now" Steven laughed

"Don't think she's in yet" Sloan interjected "but you have a point"

"I don't recall asking for either of your advice " Ben waved them off
