"Mommy" Dani ran into Miranda's office with Tuck and Ben behind her. She sprouted right up. It was hard to believe she was a kindergartner already. And Tuck was so good with his little sister.
"Mom" Tuck hugged her
"Hey Dani Bean" She kissed her cheek "Hey Tuck" She kissed his cheek
"Hello Chief" Ben smiled at his wife
"What are you three doing here" She asked
"Mommy runs the hospital" Dani laughed
"Someone wanted to see mommy running the hospital" Ben laughed
"I do it so well" She got up from her desk and walked over to him
"And while pregnant" Ben laughed kissing her and resting a hand on her baby bump. She was 8 months pregnant with their son.
"Dad showed us around the fire station and then said we could come see you" Tuck smiled
"Well if I had known I was going to have company maybe I would've stayed home today" She laughed
"You knew I was home for the day. That's probably why you went to work" Ben laughed "The kids didn't have school and so you slipped off to work even though you know you are supposed to be taking it easy"
"I know, I know" She rolled her eyes
"Mommy helps sick kids Daddy. Why can't she go to work" Dani asked
"Well yes but mommy is also growing baby brother remember" He bent down to her level "And so mommy needs to rest"
"Tuck" Dani tugged on his pant leg
"Yeah" He looked at her
"Did mommy rest when she was growing you"
"Umm yeah" He shrugged
"And did she rest when she was growing me"
"Yep" He nodded
"Then yes Mommy you should rest" Dani looked at her mother
"I am sitting here doing paperwork" She looked at Ben "Is that not restful enough for you"
"It could be more restful for real" He shrugged but then smiled at his wife indicating he was just joking
"I want to see the babies" Dani whispered to her mother
"Come on. We'll walk down there and look at them from the window" Miranda smiled
"Let's all go see the babies" Ben smiled
"I don't really want to. Can I hang in Mom's office" Tuck asked
"You aren't too old to hang with us. Come on" Ben put his arm around him and they all walked out of Miranda's office so Dani could see the babies
"Look Mommy it's Auntie Arizona" Dani pointed at Arizona and waved
"She's listening to a baby's heart right now" Miranda nodded
"I want to listen to a heart" Dani tugged her mother's lab coat.
"Dr. Warren can you sit Dani on the counter" Miranda smiled
He lifted her up and she smiled as she watched Miranda take her stethoscope out and help her with it.
"Now listen" Miranda placed the piece on her heart
"I hear it" She smiled "Mommy you sound very healthy"
"You're going to be a great doctor someday" Miranda laughed
"Daddy I listen to your heart" Dani smiled
