Ship: Changbin / Hyunjin

Words: 1,041

Summary: Changbin glances over to the living room and kitchen. It's a mess. Bottles of beer and wine are all across the table along with snacks, with so many used plates and utensils for the meals they consumed.

He looks back onto the other side and shakes his head. Cleaning up can wait. And so he moves to carefully pick up the blonde in his arms.

---

Changbin smiles to himself as he sees Hyunjin's eyes slowly drooping to closure. It warms his heart to see him struggle so much to keep himself awake.

Hyunjin's head quickly jerks straight, his eyes flashing open. It's obvious that he is pretending that nothing just happened.

Changbin looks over to his friends that they invited over. Jisung is standing with hands in his pockets but still talking to Chan. Seungmin is sitting comfortably on the couch and chatting with Felix with a cup of tea in his hands. But no one seems to get the memo that maybe they might have overstepped their stay. It's not really their fault.

Hyunjin presses his palms to his eyes and rubs them a little. He yawns long and big, probably unaware of his surroundings at this point. Changbin sighs as he stands up and clears his throat. "Guys, I'm really glad you came over. How about we continue to catch up soon again?"

He sees Seungmin standing up from the corner of his eye and heading towards the door. "Hyung, you're really kicking us out!" Jisung jokes, and Changbin chuckles awkwardly in return. Chan pats him on the shoulder. Well yeah, he is actually kicking them out.

Hyunjin waves them from the couch with a tired smile. Changbin leads his guests towards the door and greets their goodbyes along further promises. Then, finally - the door gets locked.

Silence. Changbin feels a weight being lifted off his shoulders as he takes a glimpse of a collapsed Hyunjin on the couch. His head is resting uncomfortably on the sofa's end, while he seems to be already far away in dreamland.

Hyunjin had cooked and cleaned the whole afternoon for their meetup. It was nostalgic to meet their college friends again, especially in the home they all used to share together back then. But it seems like both of them had underestimated how much energy it took away the younger.

Changbin glances over to the living room and kitchen. It's a mess. Bottles of beer and wine are all across the table along with snacks, with so many used plates and utensils for the meals they consumed.

He looks back onto the other side and shakes his head. Cleaning up can wait. And so he moves to carefully pick up the blonde in his arms.

Hyunjin shifts a little while he is holding him, only to nudge his face closer to Changbin's chest. His face heats up at that, and he proudly carries him all the way through the hallway to the bedroom. Working out has paid off, he realizes, as he gently sets down Hyunjin onto the mattress.

For a moment he catches his breath and studies the body under him. The clothes Hyunjin is wearing are comfortable to sleep in, so he isn't worried about that. But he knows that Hyunjin likes to tie his hair together to sleep, so he questioningly looks around his room.

Finding a tie is easy, Hyunjin has seven sets of them all over his desk and floor. But Changbin never had long hair and doesn't know how to really tie it in such a situation.

He tries his best and ends up with chuckling silently to himself as he analyzes the masterpiece under him. Changbin shrugs his shoulders - he assumes he did well enough.

Fixing the sheets as best as he can, he covers Hyunjin's limp body and catches him mumbling something in his sleep. It's adorable, so vulnerable and heart-quickening. Changbin likes him so much; he confesses to himself.

He exits the room to change into his sleeping clothes. Then he comes back again, only to lazily sit on the bed and make himself comfortable next to Hyunjin.

He and Changbin have been roommates since college. But they share a room now. No one knows it.

Hyunjin jokes sometimes that they act like a married couple. Sharing everything, but also having their own unspoken responsibilities.

Changbin presses his palm onto his cheek as he watches Hyunjin silently snoring in his sleep. He is perfect; just like that.

The room is dark and the streets are silent. But Changbin's heart roars in his ribcage as he straightens his neck to press his lips against Hyunin's forehead. He couldn't help, he will never deny the burning love he feels for the younger.

---

Hyunjin wakes up at the lights blinding his sight. He hears the birds chirping outside, but no Changbin in sight. Next to him, there is the imprint of his body, and as he moves his hand to touch the mattress and realizes they are still warm.

His hair falls onto his face as he sits up. His shorts rile up to his knees and so he clumsily pushes them down as he walks out of the bedroom.

He hears from the hallway the clinking sounds of dishes in the kitchen. A smile spreads on his lips as he sees the living room cleaned up.

Changbin is just loading the dishwasher as he enters the kitchen. The elder turns his head towards him, and his eyes widen brightly as he notices him.

"Good morning" he coos and opens his arms to welcome the blonde into a hug. Hyunjin nuzzles his nose into his collarbones, embraces him weakly around his waist. He feels Changbin's mouth pressing onto his hair. "Slept well, baby? You can go back if you want, I was just about to make us some breakfast"

Hyunjin removes his face from his neck and shakes his head. His hands fall to his sides but wander soon up to Changbin's chest. Changbin is not taller than him, but he still likes to stand on his tiptoes to plant a kiss at the corner of his lips. The elder's fingers cradle up his jaw, his eyes close for a brief moment.

"Thank you, Bin" is all what Hyunjin says after, with a smile so fond that it makes Changbin warm up his whole body.

And Changbin knows what he intended, knows how much it meant to the younger. "Of course baby, you worked hard" he reasons, and turns around to close the dishwasher. Then, together, they cook themselves breakfast along the last rays of sunrise that fall into the kitchen.
