ToriThe last hour didn't pass by as quick as I wanted to and for some reason no one came in for the last hour. This had its pro and con. Pro was that we spent that whole last hour closing without any interruptions, the con was I had a whole hour to listen to Sasha yap without any interruption. I tuned her out about ten minutes in and I honestly had no idea what she was telling me but it didn't worry me at all.
Eric stayed for the whole hour, just sipping on his coffee, we would make small talk when I passed by or had something to do in his general area. But was I sure thankful that he was there.
I had already changed out of my uniform and had done everything I had to do to leave, the place itself was already almost closed down completely. Even Sasha had gone home. Thank god for that.
It was probably twenty-thirty minutes after my shift and I was sitting out on the curb with Eric, and since no one was here to pick me up, we were getting to know each other a little bit better, not involving any talk about Chris and that whole ordeal, which was nice.
"Your boyfriend going to pick you up?" Eric muttered, flicking his cigarette.
I shrugged, "If he was he would have been here by now, he gets off a little before me."
Eric hummed in response, "So who's going to get you?"
I chuckled, "I don't know, maybe they all forgot about me."
I'm sure they didn't forget about me, something had to have come up, knowing Soda and my brothers, they would not let me walk alone in the dark.
Dallas wasn't very fond of the idea either, but I hadn't seen him for a couple of weeks, and i'm pretty sure he didn't care enough to memorize my work schedule.
Not like I would want to be in a car with him anyways.
I think I would actually suffocate in there.
"You want me to take you home?" Eric offered.
"As much as I want to say yes," I snickered, "I don't know what they would all do if they saw me with you."
Eric rolled his eyes, "I forgot, i'm such a bad guy."
I shook my head at Eric laughing, "I don't think you are."
"I hope you know that Dally's been in the slammer twice as much as me."
I raised my eyebrow, "Do you want to argue that it's because you're not as crazy, or because you just don't get caught as much?"
Eric took a puff of his cigarette, "Probably the second one, though I don't think I have a short fuse like Winston."
I nodded my head in agreement, "I should be fine walking home, I don't see the big deal personally."
Eric side eyed me, "I think you know that's not a good idea."
"Nothings ever happened before," I shrugged.
He scoffed at me, "Doesn't mean to say that nothings ever going to happen."
I let out a sigh, "I guess you're right."
Eric picked himself up from the curb, "It's dark anyways, if they ask just say your coworker dropped you off."
I started twiddling with my fingers, "Fine, but you have to-"
"Zoom out as soon as you leave the car, I know."
I frowned at Eric cutting me off, but at least he had it put into his head on what he had to do.
