8:45 amAshtray's apartment
Mia was peacefully asleep until she was gently awakened by a series of soft, warm kisses covered her face. Slowly opening her eyes, a bright smile spread across her face as she realized it was Ashtray showering her with kisses. The room was bathed in the soft morning light, its warm rays filtering through the curtains and casting a cozy glow upon everything it touched.
"Happy Birthday," Ashtray said in between the kisses.
Mia couldn't help but chuckle, at the feeling. "Thank you," she replied.
As the kisses subsided, Ashtray's gaze softened, "Are you going to work today?" they inquired.
"No" She replied.
"Okay," they said as their smile widened, "Are you hungry?" they then asked.
"I'm starving." She admitted.
"I'll go make you something to eat." They said about to get off of Mia.But before they could make a move, Mia held them back, her senses captivated by their scent.
"Wait, you smell good," she remarked, pulling Ashtray closer and inhaling deeply.
A soft chuckle escaped Ashtray's lips, "I just showered," they stated, resting their head on the crook of Mia's neck. However, Mia didn't respond, lost in the moment. They simply cuddled up in bed, enjoying each other's presence
After a tranquil moment, Ashtray broke the silence, "You told my mom we'd be there on the 23rd. When's our flight?" they asked.
"Tomorrow night, well at 4pm we'll be there by 7-8pm." She replied, then Ashtray sat upright.
"We haven't packed yet." they pointed out.
"Well, we better get to it today," Mia replied.
"How long are we staying?" They questioned.
"I only bought one-way tickets, so we can stay as long as you want," She responded.
"Okay," They responded, "Well I'ma go make some to eat so we could pack. Any requests?" They questioned, a smirked appeared on Mia's face, "Food," they specified, causing Mia to chuckle.
"You're sitting on my pelvis, it's giving me ideas." Ashtray chuckled in response before moving off of her, settling beside her.
"What would you like to eat?" they inquired.
"Anything is fine, just need a cup of coffee," Mia finally answered.
"You're addicted." They remarked.
"Probably." She sighed.
"Well I'ma go do that." They replied. Before leaving, they leaned in and pecked her cheek once more, "Are you coming?" they asked.
"I'll be there in a few," Mia replied.
"Okay," they responded, understanding her need for a moment alone. With a gentle smile, they left the room, leaving Mia to gather her thoughts.
Mia sat upright and said her morning prayer, a routine she had faithfully followed for the past five months. But today felt different. She had just turned twenty-seven, a milestone she never thought she would reach. As she finished her prayer, she rose from the bed and tidied it before making her way to the bathroom connected to the room. As she went through her daily facial and hair routine, she couldn't help but think about her family.
