Part 8: Confused Heart

Joong stopped the car in front of Dunk's house. He had been there few time to drop Lego. Joong looked at Dunk after he stopped the car. Dunk was in his thoughts and didn't notice they already arrived.

"Dunk" Joong called and Dunk startled and looked at him.

"We are here." Dunk looked out of the window and saw they were already in his house.

Dunk took a deep breath before looked at Joong again.

"Joong, about Phoon-"

"You don't have to tell me anything if you are not comfortable with it. I won't force you to tell me anything." Joong said reassuring Dunk. Dunk nodded his head. He wanted to tell Joong what really happened with Phoon. But he was not ready just yet.

"I'll see you tomorrow then." Dunk said and get off from the car. Then he opened the back door to look at the Lego who sleeping in his baby seat peacefully. Dunk kissed his forehead and closed the door.

"Good night Dunk." Joong said sweetly smiling.

"Good night Joong. Drive safe."

Joong drove off and Dunk waited until the car disappear from his sight. Then he went inside amd closed the door.

Dunk flopped down on his couch sighing. Lots of things happened in his life past month and it felt like he couldn't bear them all. Now Phoon was added as another concern to his list.

"Why are you so stressed?" Dunk heard a voice behind him. He turned around and saw his brother Book standing behind him.

"Why are you not sleeping yet?"

"I was. But woke up when I heard you came in." Book came and sat beside Dunk. Dunk nodded his head to his brother.

"So, what is bothering you bro?"

"I met Phoon today." Dunk said and sighed. Book didn't said anything to that. So dunk kept talking.

"He said to Joong that he is my ex-boyfriend and that I begged him to not to break up with me."

"That bustard have the nerve to come in front of you. If I was there I would have punched him."

"You are missing the point brother. He said to Joong about our relationship."

"So what. You are not dating Joong. Why are you stressing about Joong knowing it."

"I don't know. I thought he'll misunderstand me."

"Dunk, do you like Joong?" Book asked with a worried face. Dunk was off guard with the sudden question.

"What? N-No. I-I don't." Dunk stuttered.

"Listen brother, I know you are not ready open your heart anyone after what Phoon did to you. But trust me, love can happen more than once. Good night." Book said and went back to his room.

Dunk looked at his brother confused. He really didn't understand what he meant. He was still confused about why he asked whether he likes Joong. He love Lego. That's a fact. It's not like he dislikes Joong. He was kind, understanding and a good gentleman. He always care for Lego and he always made sure Dunk was comfortable inside his house.

Dunk felt good to be around Joong. He liked to be around Joong. It's like Joong assured him some kind of safety for him that he felt safe around Joong. Dunk was really confused about his own feelings.

"What's wrong with me?" Dunk told himself and got up. He went to his room and took a bath before come to bed. Dunk fell sleep that night thinking about one man called Joong Archen.
