Part 19:New Beginning

⚠️Warning, Abuse

Joong stopped the car in front of his house. Lego had fallen asleep in the middle of the ride. Dunk was carrying him in his hands. But he had a very distance look in his face.

"Dunk?" Joong called Dunk putting a hand on his shoulder. Dunk startled and looked at Joong.

"We are here." Dunk sighed. Joong was about to got out of the car. But Dunk held his hand. So Joong sat back and looked at Dunk.

"Joong, I want to tell you what happened with Phoon." Joong saw how Dunk trembled with the mention of Phoon. Joong could tell that he was in pain. He didn't want to see Dunk like that.

"If you are not ready to talk about it, I won't force you Dunk."

"No, I don't want you to misunderstand me."

"I won't Dunk. I know you are innocent."

Joong and Dunk went inside the Joong's house. They put Lego in bed. Joong let Dunk sit on the couch. He made two hot chocolate cups for them. He gave one Dunk and sat beside him.

"I met Phoon at the university." Dunk started to tell his story. Joong wanted to assure him that he there for him. So he scooted closer to Dunk.

"I was in my freshmen year. He was a final year student back then. I was selected as the university freshy boy from my faculty. Phoon was a university freshy boy too. So he helped me a lot through the competition. We got closed at that time.

I already developed feelings for him. I was afraid to confess. I thought he would reject me. Finally I won the competition. That night after the competition Phoon proposed me and asked me to be his boyfriend. I was on cloud nine. I was so happy. I said yes to him.

We were fine. We were so in love. Our relationship was going smoothly about three months. After three months he started to show his true colours. He was a drug addict and asked money from me. I gave money but one day I didn't have any money with me. So I said I don't have any. He beat me that day. Then he took my watch and left." Joong was surprised to hear that Dunk was abused by Phoon. He felt like his blood was boiling. He put his hand around Dunk's shoulder and pulled him closer.

"I loved him so much that I didn't want to do anything to him. So I stayed silent. From that day onwards he hurt me a lot. Sometimes he beat me until I was unconsciousness." Joong held the mug in his hand tightly. His knuckles turned while. Joong was so angry.

"One day I went university with a bruised eye and Phuwin noticed it. He asked me what happened but I lied to him and said I hit a cupboard. He didn't believe me. He had already noticed I had bruises for a long time. He confronted me. I couldn't lie to him anymore. I told him truth.

Phuwin was too angry with Phoon. He fought with Phoon. Phoon threatened to me that he would kill Phuwin. I was scared he would hurt my friend. I begged to Phuwin not to do anything. He didn't agree with me first. But I made him. After that I never tell anything with Phuwin.

After some days Phoon came to me again. He acted nice to me. He took me to shopping. He bought everything for me. I was surprised. I really thought he had become a nice person." Dunk was leaning on Joong. His head was on Joong's chest. Joong stroked his hair gently.

"He asked me to go to somewhere with him and asked me to wear nicely. I thought he was taking me to a surprise date. So I dressed as nice as I can. He took me to a club with him. He had booked a VIP room. I thought we were going to have a alone time.

But I was so wrong. After sometime two of his friends came to the room. They were all drinking and talking. Then Phoon ready to leave. I was ready to go with him. But he stopped me. He told me to stay and entertain his friends. Then he left me there. I didn't understand what he meant but I didn't take me much time to understand." Joong's hand stilled on his track. He also understood what happened next. That bustard had not just abused Dunk. He had let his friends to abuse him.

"One of his friends grabbed me and-and then he-he tried "

Dunk couldn't talk anymore. Tears started to flow. Joong felt his shirt soaked with Dunk's tears. Joong hold him close.

"That's enough Dunk. Don't tell anymore." Joong stroked Dunk's back gently.

"He sold me to his friends Joong. I managed to escape from them before they could do anything to me. I went straight to Phuwin. But I didn't say anything to him until now."

"Dunk, I'm so sorry." Joong didn't know what else to said to Dunk.

"Why do you say sorry Joong. It has nothing to do with you." Dunk said chuckling.

Joong pushed Dunk a little from him. Then he grabbed Dunk's both shoulders and looked deeply in Dunk's eyes.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you back then. I'm sorry I didn't met to a little earlier. If I met you before him I would never let you go to him. " Joong said sincerely. Dunk's eyes widened with surprise.

"Joong! What are you saying?"

Joong reached out and gently wiped away Dunk's tears with his thumb, his touch sending shivers down Dunk's spine. In that moment, Dunk felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and comfort, as if Joong's presence alone was enough to chase away the darkness that had plagued him for so long.

"You don't have to say anything, Dunk," Joong whispered softly. "Just know that I'm here for you now, and I'll always be here for you, no matter what."

Joong looked at Dunk's eyes deeply. As Joong gazed into Dunk's eyes, he felt a surge of emotions welling up inside him. Without a second thought, he leaned in closer, closing the distance between them. Their lips met in a tender and a hesitant kiss.

Dunk's heart skipped a beat as he felt Joong's lips against his own. It was a gentle, tentative kiss, yet it spoke volumes, conveying all the unspoken feelings and emotions that had been building up between them.

After a moment they pulled away, breathless. Both breath hard with their foreheads together. Joong smiled as his hand hold Dunk's cheek.

"I love you Dunk. Will you be my boyfriend?"
