Part 27: Happily Ever After

In the next morning Joong went to hospital with Lego. He knocked on the door to Dunk's room and Book opened the door.

"Oh Joong. I didn't expect you this early." Book said seeing Joong at the door.

"Someone couldn't wait to see his uncle DunkDunk." Joong said showing the little boy.

"Come inside. Your uncle DunkDunk is awake now."

Joong let the little boy to go first. Dunk was on the bed and Lego ran to him screaming.

"Uncle DunkDunk."

"Hey, my little champ. How are you doing?" Dunk helped the little boy to get on his bed. Then he let the boy to sat on his lap. Lego started to speak animatedly and Dunk was listening to him with a small smile on his face. Joong also smiled seeing them.

"Hey Lego, would you like to help me to bring some water for uncle DunkDunk?" Book noticed that Joong didn't get to talk with Dunk. He knew Joong had lot to talk with Dunk. So he decided to give him some time alone with Dunk. Lego was more than happy to do something for his uncle. So he got down from Dunk's lap and left with Book.

There was a awkward silence after Lego left. Neither Joong or Dunk said anything. But at last Joong took courage and speak first.

"I'm really sorry Dunk. You have to face this because of me." Joong sounded so hurt and his voice was filled with guilt. Dunk looked at him with widened eyes.

"It's not your fault Joong. It's actually my fault. If I didn't come to your life none of this would happen." Dunk also talk with regret.

Joong came near Dunk's bed and sat on the chair beside his the bed. Then he took Dunk's hands on his.

"Dunk, please don't say that. You are the best thing happened in my life. You made me and Lego so happy."

"But Joong, Nine did that because of me. He was your friend. But he betrayed you because of me."

"If he was a good friend he would never do something like that. He was just obsessed."

After Joong said that Dunk didn't said anything else. So Joong spoke again.

"Dunk, what do you say now for my question?" Joong was still holding Dunk's hand. He squeezed it nervous. Dunk once rejected him and he was afraid he would reject him again.

"What question?" Joong's face almost fell when Dunk asked that.

"The last time we met before all this happened, I asked you something do you remember?" Dunk remembered it very clearly. He remembered that he was going to say yes to Joong. But then hell broke down and Dubk couldn't help but think everything happened because of him. He didn't want to put Lego or Joong in anymore dangers.

"Joong, why don't you understand, I will put both you and Lego in danger." Dunk said. Tears filled his eyes.

"Both Phoon and Nine are in jail. You don't have to worry about them anymore. No one going to harm any of us anymore." Joong tried his best to assure Dunk that they would be fine.

Dunk thought for a moment. Then he breathed a heavy sigh and noded his head.

"Okay Joong. Let's give this a chance. Let's give us a chance."

Joong beamed with happiness with Dunk's answer. He hugged Dunk so tight that Dunk had hard time breathing.

"Joong, I can't breathe." Joong let go of him and apologized quickly. Then he looked into Dunk's eyes and touched his cheeks.

"Dunk, can I kiss you?" Dunk turned beet red with Joong's request. Nevertheless he noded his head shyly. Joong smiled at the Dunk's cuteness and leaned in.

Dunk closed his eyes when Joong came close. He felt Joong's lips on his. It was very gentle yet passionate kiss. Joong pulled Dunk closer to him. Dunk put his hands on Joong's neck.

"Papa"

Both Joong and Dunk startled and broke the kiss. They saw Lego and Book at the door. Book was covering Lego's eyes. Joong stood up from the chair and looked at book nervously. Before he could say anything Lego spoke.

"Uncle DunkDunk, are you going to be my new daddy?" Lego asked coming to Dunk. His eyes were big with anticipation. Joong looked at his son with surprise. Book had a very kind smile in his face.

"Do you want me to be your daddy?" Dunk asked lovingly while looking at Joong. Joong was already looking at them.

"Yes, yes, yessssss" Lego screamed excitedly. Joong, Dunk and Book all laughed seeing the little boy's cuteness.

In the next day Dunk was released from the hospital. Joong and Legi insisted on Dunk to go to their home. Book tried hard to take Dunk home with him but he couldn't win against the father and the son.

Joong assured Book that he'll take care of Dunk. Joong's friend Jimmy also assured that he'll drop by to see Dunk's condition. Only then that Book breathed a sigh of relief.

"Papa, can dada Dunk stay at my room?" Lego asked as soon they entered the house. Joong was helping Dunk and Book was carrying Dunk's things. All of them froze at the spot hearing Lego's words.

"What did you just said?" Joong asked the boy with wide eyes. Boy looked at Joong confused.

"I asked whether dada Dunk can stay with me." Lego said again.

"You called me dada" Dunk's eyes filled with tears of joy. He took the little boy in his arms and hugged him tightly.

"You said you'll going to be my dada. So I'm calling you my dada." Joong's eyes also filled with tears. He hugged both Dunk and Lego. For the first time Joong felt that his family is finally complete. The missing piece of his family is finally found. Joong kissed both Dunk's and Lego's foreheads.

Book smiled with teary eyes as he witnessed the happy family of his brother. He was more than happy that his brother finally found someone who really love him without conditions.

A/N :

One more chapter and this story will come to its end. This story is shorter than the children of moon. It is really challenging to write these kind of stories. For me it os easy to write Fantasy and action stories.
