Arc 3 Chapter 21: A Good But Stressful Day

Floory hung out with everyone at the hotel until it got late. As everyone headed out, Fan was saying bye.

"Great talking to you again, Floorster!" He smiled.

"Yeah, you too. I'll tell the others about the extermination."

Fan gave him a thumbs up as Floory left. Once he was gone, Fan talked to Lightbulb & Test Tube, who were the only ones still up, about their day.

"So... What happened while I was gone?" He asked as he sat with them on the couch in the parlor.

"Oh, nothing much. Taco joined, tried to blow up the hotel & apologized. But everything is good." Lightbulb smiled.

"She tried to blow up the hotel. Are you sure you want her to stay after all that?" Test Tube questioned her friend.

"Of course! Everyone deserves a second chance."

Lightbulb looked over at the clock. It was almost 11:00.

"Well, I guess I should be going to sleep. Got a lot of work to do tomorrow. Night you two!" Lightbulb said goodnight as she left.

Fan & Test Tube were the only ones left in the parlor. Fan noticed her bow was tilted & offered help.

"Your bow looks a little crooked. Maybe I can..." He reached his hand out to it.

"DON'T!" She slapped his hand hard.

Fan quickly grabbed his hand & rubbed it a little, a bit shocked. Test Tube realized what she did & apologized.

"I'm- I'm sorry. I didn't-"

"No. I'm sorry. I should've asked permission first before I tried to reach out."

Test Tube was silent for a little & fixed her bow.

"It's just... Very important to me." She explained as she held one of the ribbons.

Fan could see she looked a little upset. She looked back at him & talked.

"If you knew we were in danger, why didn't you come sooner?"

"I didn't know. I thought you guys were, so I came as soon as I could."

"Well, maybe you should've come the minute you got the text."

"Listen, I'm glad nothing happened to you guys. If I didn't think of y'all, & if Taco was to actually do something to you, I don't think I would've forgiven myself." He explained.

She thought of it for a while & looked back at him.

"You're right. Sorry, it's just been a bit of a stressful day for me."

"Hey, it's okay. As long as everyone is safe." He smiled at her, causing her to blush & look away.

"You know, you're cute when you turn red." He giggled.

"Shut up!" She yelled at him & hid her face as he chuckled.

"Welp, I guess I should head to bed. Good night, darling." He smiled as he headed to his room.

After he left, she unhidden her face as it turned completely red. Test Tube walked back to her room, thinking to herself.

"He really did think of us when he was gone, & his friend was nice. & he did apologize after he reached out for my bow. But how do we know it isn't a trick? How do we know we can trust the overlords?"

Once she got to her room, she looked over at Fan's door. She blushed again & went inside her room.

Back at the tower, The Thinkers were talking about their day in the dining room, mainly Candle & Silver's hellish mob.

"It took us hours, but we finally got away from them." Candle explained.

"Yeah! I was trying to text Paintbrush, but because of that mob, a bunch of random shit was sent to them. I did tell them it was all a mistake though. But I swear, I'm gonna shoot every whore who fucked up my outfit!" Silver complained.

"Well, you know what that'll do to your image, right?" Floory asked him.

"Fuck it up?"

Floory still stared at him.

"Fuck it up even more."

"Exactly."

"So, how was your meeting with Fan? Hope it was better than our fiasco." Candle asked him.

"Well, it was pretty nice." He answered.

"Really?" Silver asked.

"Really... But also, according to him, the princess talked to the rulers of Dream Island, & they're going to decrease Extermination Day to 6 weeks." He explained.

"6 weeks!?" Candle asked, shocked.

"But we just had the extermination LAST week. Why decrease it?" Silver asked.

"We don't know. But we need to tell the other overlords right away."
