Chris

I pull up to my sister's house with a smile on my face. I was glad my sister only lived like 2 hours away. I loved seeing her, and her daughter, Olivia.

I get out of my car and walk up to the front door. She had a nice house. It was perfect for her family. It had a homey feeling to it, I rang the doorbell and waited before it opened to reveal Jonah, my sister's husband.

"Hey, man." He says as he hugs me.

"Hi." I say as we pull away.
I walk in and I hear tiny footsteps running before Oliva appears.

"Uncle Chris!" She cheers as she comes running up to me with open arms.

"Olivia!" I laugh as I crouch down.

She runs into my open arms and I pick her tiny body up. I hug her tightly before I hold her by my waist.

"Hi, Chris." I hear my sister's voice.

I look up and see my sister walk up to me with a smile on her face.

"Hey, Jess." I say as I give her a side hug with my free arm.

"Olivia couldn't stop talking about how excited she was to see Uncle Chris, right, Liv?" Jonah asks his daughter.

"Yeah, I got a new doll house, can I show you?" She asks me.

"Of course." I say before I place her on the ground.

I follow her through the hallway and to her pink room on the first floor. She had a small canopy bed, and Jonah and I painted tiny butterflies on the wall too. She sits down in front of the doll house and I sit next to her.

"This is Bonnie." She says as she holds up a barbie doll.

"Wow, she's pretty." I say.

"No, she has ugly hair." She says.

I laugh, "Well, that's not very nice." I say.

"I'm just being honest." She shrugs.

"You know, she won't let you leave now." I hear my sister's voice.

I look over and watch her and Jonah walk in and sit on the edge of the bed.

"I don't mind." I smile.

"This is Candy, I like her the best." She says as she shows me a Barbie doll with pink hair.

"I like her hair." I say.

"Yeah, I want my hair like that too, but Mommy said no." She pouts.

I look at my sister, "Let her have pink hair." I say.

"Don't encourage her, Chris. She's too young." Jess says.

I chuckle before looking at Olivia who was glaring at her mom.

"Do you want anything to eat or drink, Chris?" Jonah asks.

"Sure, coffee?" I ask.

"Sure, I'll go make some." He says before he gets up and walks out of the room.

"Can we play with dolls?" Olivia asks.

"Sure." I smile.

"You be Bonnie." She says as she hands me the ugly doll.

"Why am I the ugly one?" I ask.

"Because, I don't like her." Olivia asks.

I laugh before I look over at my sister who was shaking her head.
