Dakota Foster, you are playing the wrong game with the wrong guy. I didn't think she was the type of girl to play this game, but I wasn't about to let her win that easily.
I walk into the bookstore with a proud smile on my face. I look over at the pretty blond I had on my arm.
"I didn't know you liked to read?" She says.
"Oh yeah, I'm a big reader." I say as I grab a random book off the bookshelf.
I look over at Dakota who was glaring at me, I wink at her and she flips me off.
We walk over to her and I place the book on the counter in front of her.
"Just this." I say.
She scans the book and throws it back down in front of me.
"How are you doing on this fine day?" I ask Dakota.
"I'm just ecstatic." She smiles.
"Oh, I bet. Same here, last night was heaven." I say as I pull my girl closer to me.
"Glad to hear it." She says.
"Uh, are you gonna pay?" Zoey asks.
I pull out my wallet and grab my card before handing it to Dakota.
I watch Dakota swipe the card and hand it back to me.
"Have a great fucking day." She says.
"Oh, I will." I glare at her before taking the book and walking away with Zoey.
We walk out of the bookstore and I look back into the store and see Dakota scrolling through her phone.
"She's so snobby." I say to Zoey.
"Do you know her?" She asks.
"I wish I didn't." I roll my eyes.
"Okay?" Zoey says confused.
"I mean, who does she even think she is? Huh?" I say as I glare at Dakota through the window.
"Can we go now?" Zoey asks.
"She's so selfish, I can't stand it." I say.
"I'm leaving." Zoey says before she walks away.
"What did I do?" I call out to her as she walks away.
She flips me off as she continues to walk away.
I groan as I look back at Dakota. I'm gonna win this game so hard.
~~~~~~~~
I walk out of the lecture hall and make my way towards my car when I see Dakota talking to some guy on the sidewalk. Oh, you gotta be kidding me right now.
She looks over at me and smiles as he continues to talk to her.
I stop walking and watch her as she laughs with him and places her hand on his arm. He's probably not even that fucking funny. I'm definitely way funnier than him. I'm fucking hilarious, what the hell?
She smiles at him before wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him. I clench my fists as I glare at her.
They pull away and he walks past her as she smiles at me. I walk up to her and she giggles, "You look constipated." She says.
"Well, I'm not." I say.
"You sure?" She asks.
"I'm gonna win." I tell her.
