I find myself crumbling in the first steps as I enter law school.

Maybe because I'm just starting and it's a way for me to learn first the basics of it.

I thought it's cool and it will make you look ever smarter. Well, at some point it is, but not most of it.

Being in law school means to be ready for sacrificing your all. That's what my mother used to tell me before.

She's a lawyer too, a very good one. Me and my younger brother always admire her for that. She always say that she puts bad guys into prison and made sure that no one could harm us.

But her promised never came true.

When that night happened, we were never the same again.

I hated her for leaving. But even if this hatred already corrupted my heart from her, I still feel bad about what she's been through because of what I did... because of me.

"Hangover?" Beauty asks worrily.

"Mm-mm..." I nod, still grasping my senses.

Beauty is one of the close friends I made when the first week of classes began.

There's something about her aura that made me like her, especially how she treats the people around her.

She might be perceived as a pretty classy woman with a model and pageantry look, her humor is quite actually bigger than her.

"Again, why do lawyers have to defend criminals even if they are already criminals?" He asks with his full blown serious face.

We obviously know the answer to this basic question, but this prof always puzzles us with his tricky questions and gives us second thoughts before we confirm our questions.
