We've been filling the unit with things for almost a week now. Buying refrigerators, sofa, beds, and television.
But now it feels better doing it with Sam.
Habang naglilinis ako sa itaas na parte ng unit, nahulog ang bag ko, then all the papers and journal inside my bag slid all to the floor.
Then I saw two letters from the two law firms that sent me those letters.
"What happened?" he asks me, looking at the bag.
The parent's of Sam is taking care of the kids at doon din kami mamaya magcecelebrate ng gabi.
And this time, I was even more nervous than before because I am finally meeting Pia.
While I was helping Tita to decorate the table, natatanaw ko sa kabilang binta ang mag-aama.
I stood there watching from afar.
He's carrying the regrets of leaving his children to work abroad, losing her wife, and enduring all of these just to be with them now.
Suddenly, footsteps came walking towards me.
"Hi, you must be Clay," a sweet voice coming behind me.
She stood taller than me, probably with her heels. She's wearing a light shiny dress complimenting her bright skin, while her hair extends right through her back. She looks like an angel. Then I realized it's her, she was Sam's wife, the mother of their children.
"Hi, nice meeting you," I offered my hand but she gave me a light hug.
I can't believe she's even prettier in real life than the photos I saw of her.
