Y/N sat on the train, looking at the beautiful scenery passing by in a blur. She was sat in one of the cubicles with her fellow Ravenclaw students. The nature was still green, with hints of red and yellow appearing on some leaves. Her mind was racing back to the summer as every student does before the beginning of a new school year. Y/N missed it already, not really ready for the situations the upcoming year could bring to her. It didn't help the girl to overcome the dread of school as she was set to share a dorm with a Beauxbatons student this year. Due to Dumbledore's kindness towards other wizarding schools, specifically Durmstrang Institute and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, the Triwizard Tournament was happening at Hogwarts. Y/N could feel that it would cause trouble to everyone but she shook the feeling off and focused back on nature.

During Dumbledore's speech, Y/N sulked in her spot, eyeing George from the corner of her view, he saw him having fun with his friends from Gryffindor. It was moments like these when Y/N wished she was sorted into Gryffindor just to be closer to George, to partake in his conversations even though the twins had pulled her to many hours of detention due to the pranks the redheads had done. She sighed and watched how the students of Durmstrang marched in, putting on an impressive show with Beauxbatons right after them, displaying a more gentle display. After the dinner was over and Y/N walked to her dorm alone, Fleur Delacour from Beauxbatons caught up to her. After a quick conversation, Y/N learned that Fleur was the girl she was sharing her dorm with. Her assumptions about the academy were long gone by the next morning as Y/N stayed up the whole night with Fleur talking about things the girls had in common.

A few weeks later, Y/N skipped happily down the corridors of Hogwarts. Her hair bounced with every step she took as the hallway turned to the Great Hall. It was a lovely Saturday morning, before the annual Quidditch Game between every house. Stepping into the Great Hall, Y/N saw the usual bustle that appeared before any Quidditch Match.

It wasn't long before Y/N found herself sitting next to her best friends. Even though they were all Gryffidnors, Y/N had clicked with them instantly upon their first meeting. "Ready to see us play?" George nudged Y/N playfully, smirking when she sat down next to the Weasley twins. "Always. I would like to definitely see you get beaten by Slytherin." Y/N replied, a grin forming on her face. "I bet we will lose only because of George. After all, he is deeply and utterly-" Fred got shoved by George mid-sentence, George's face showing a million emotions of annoyance. "Shut it, Fred." He said and focused on his food again, glancing at Y/N from time to time as the girl was conversing with Harry and Hermione.

As the breakfast was ending, more and more students began scurrying to the Quidditch pitch next to the school. "You won't be mad, love?" George asked as he walked next to Y/N, following the mass of students. "Why would I be mad?" Y/N questioned, still looking forward. "You know, if I, the best Quidditch player, make Gryffindor win." George specified, jokingly, a playful grin on his face. Y/N chuckled at the self-given title. "Of course, I won't. That is if you even win. I heard Ravenclaw has practised a lot more than they usually do." Y/N earned a chuckle in response. "I'll see you around. Then we can talk about the best Quidditch team again." George said before breaking out of the mass to get to the pitch faster. Y/N watched the redhead disappear as her thoughts were occupied by him again,

Her crush on George had existed ever since she stepped foot into Hogwarts. Although George was a year older than her, they got along perfectly, the twins pulling Y/N into all sorts of trouble doing pranks. While Y/N liked Fred as a friend, George managed to create special a spot in her heart, with his more quiet and caring nature. It wasn't unusual for them to have late-night studying sessions at Y/N's dorm even though her grades were through the roof. It just gave her an excuse to spend alone time with George. She didn't know if her feelings were reciprocated but since George never said no to her, Y/N took every chance she got. Of course, the summer spent with George at The Burrow was just more fuel to the fire. The shy glances that Y/N gave towards George when he wasn't looking or was looking, the flirting that Y/N labelled as friendly and the hugs that lasted slightly too long were just a testimony that Y/N was in love. It was only a matter of time before Y/N accidentally gave out her big secret.
