Cedric ran after George on the staircase to the Gryffindor dorm. "George, wait!" The boy yelled after him, skipping a few steps. "Good evening to you too, Cedric," The redhead replied as he stopped walking and turned to the boy on the stairs. "I have seen the way you look at her," The Hufflepuff began, a smirk forming slowly. George's eyes flew wide open upon hearing Cedric's revelation. "Don't worry, I won't tell. But I do have a proposition for you," He continued and stepped closer to him. "Tomorrow. The Quidditch Match. The winner gets to invite Y/N on a date," Cedric said, eyeing George, who stood dumbfounded. His expression changed in a second, replaced by an unreadable emotion. "Bet. The loser won't interfere with the date," George answered and turned to leave Cedric. "More like the loser won't interfere with her ever again," The Hufflepuff student said. George whipped around and got closer to Cedric. "Shouldn't we leave that for the lady to decide?" He questioned, eyebrow raised, trying to conceal his shock. When Cedric did not answer, he faced the Gryffindor door again and walked closer. "Good luck," The redhead heard behind him as he snorted. His confidence in winning the Quidditch Match the day after roaring through his blood.

It was the Quidditch season again which meant that Y/N saw the twins, Ron and Harry less and less after the lessons. She didn't mind as the girl got to spend time with Hermione with no Ron's wailing or the twins' pranks. It also meant that the days got warmer and warmer, her emotions brighter with it. Hermione and Y/N sat next to each other on one of the spectators' towers. Since Ravenclaw and Slytherin had their match the day before, the seats were slightly emptier. Y/N's small wish to study at the same time was fulfilled due to the space next to the girls. "Who are you betting on?" The girl asked Hermione as she switched her notebooks. "Gryffindor, of course," She replied with a smile, looking for Ron in the process. "Where's Viktor? This sounds like a great idea for a date," Y/N questioned with a smirk, this time Hermione didn't blush. "He doesn't bother with amateur Quidditch," The girl said with a sigh. "Oh no. Did he do something?" Hermione shook her head in response. "It's what he doesn't do. He just... sits there. It doesn't matter, the match is starting, look!" She exclaimed and pointed at the pitch excitedly.

The first match was rather tame, as the players usually used it to warm up rather than actually fight for the win. But as the second match went on, the more intense it got. Gryffindor pulled some serious moves this time, doing everything to push the other team off. Y/N eyed George flying around on his broom, his face full of anger. It wasn't long before George aimed the Bludger at Cedric with so much force that the Hufflepuff player fell off his broom. Y/N's mouth fell open out of the sudden scene in front of the spectators. The game was halted for a few minutes as Madam Pomfrey made sure everything was alright with Cedric. The game went on quickly after with no sign of a sudden stop. The girl noticed that Cedric was focused on George every moment she looked at him. It was like something had snapped in the Hufflepuff student as he played more seriously than he had before. The second match ended with no scores, unusual for the Gryffindor team as they always scored. Then it hit Y/N.

The Hufflepuff team had worked through their strategy before the game, now aiming to tire out the other team before getting perfect chances to score as Gryffindor was going slower and slower. The Gryffindor team hadn't suspected that which meant that executing it was effortless. So, it went over to the third and the last match. Y/N glanced around the pitch as she almost stood up the whole time the players were playing. The Gryffindor team failed to score and somehow it seemed that Harry was too tired to aim for the Golden Snitch as the Hufflepuff player snatched it before the boy even made it to the flying object. The girl sat down in defeat as Lee announced the winner of the match - Hufflepuff. "That was tense," Y/N commented as she packed her things in her bag, other students started to leave the pitch. "And unexpected," Hermione added, still trying to process Hufflepuff's victory.

There was a knock on Y/N's door, interrupting her studying. "Wh- Oh, hello, Ced!" She greeted as soon as she opened the door. "Good evening, Y/N," Cedric replied and stepped in. "I hope I didn't interrupt?" The boy questioned. "Oh no, not at all," The girl said with an awkward smile. "Good. I was hoping you'd come on a date with me," Y/N's eyes widened. "Right now?" She asked in confusion as the time was nearing ten in the evening. "Well, yes. Why not?" Cedric replied with his beaming grin. "Alright... Let me get ready," The girl threw Cedric out and searched through her closet, hands shaky from the boy's sudden appearance. "Come on..." Y/N mumbled as she looked for that one dress, fitting for an early May evening. She found it, slid it on and left the safe confines of her dorm. Cedric eyed the dress and smiled again, handing the girl his hand. "Where are we going?" Y/N questioned, making the Hufflepuff student chuckle. "To the Astronomy Tower. Cloudless night," The girl's head perked up at the idea as her love for the stars was astronomical.

"Y/N fancies stars so much, she is willing to sit in freezing temperatures. Just for them," George said to Fred as they hung out in the corridor between their classes. Cedric passed by just at the right time, hearing her name made him listen to the twins' topic. "I wonder why," Fred replied, bored due to the recurring topic of Y/N. "Mostly because it's always raining at her house. Can you imagine?" George added again, in a daze. Cedric knew at that moment he could use it for advantage, his feelings for the girl only rising since he found her at the Courtyard.

The girl looked at the sky in awe, the moon and a million of stars beginning to appear. The sun had just set and the rise of dusk arose. "Do you like it?" Cedric asked as he leaned on the stone pole next to the girl. "Like it? I love it. How did you know I love stars so much?" She questioned the boy as she focused on him. "I have my ways," The boy replied with a smirk as he took her hand. Y/N didn't like Cedric's move, an awkward smile crept its way onto the girl's face. "The stars are so pretty," She said, hoping to change the dreadful silence. "They are. But you're prettier. Can't believe I won," Cedric replied and sighed, satisfied to have Y/N alone with him. Y/N's brows furrowed. "What did you win?" The girl asked and pulled her hand away. "Oh, George's bet. The winner of today's match got to take you out. I obliged happily," Cedric explained, going closer to her. The boy hoped for a romantic kiss, illuminated by the stars and the moon but got slapped, straight across the face. "You dared to bet on me?" Y/N's voice raised with every word. "It was George's id-" Cedric tried to justify. "I don't care!" She yelled and left a stunned Cedric in the Astronomy Tower.
