"Y/N, I need your help," Harry barged into her dorm room, breathing heavily as usual. "What is it now, Harry?" The girl sat up on her bed, sighing in annoyance. "I want to put together an army, Dumbledore's, to practice for the war," The boy stepped into the room and looked deep into her eyes. "And why would I risk getting expelled?" She questioned as she put the book she was reading on her desk. "Because you care about your friends' well-being, right?" Harry was beginning to get frustrated at the girl due to her stoic responses. "Y/N? Do you care about your friends?" Harry asked again, raising his voice. "I do b-" Y/N's sentence was cut off. "Brilliant! Hermione and I are brainstorming ideas for the meeting place. I'll send you an owl when the first meeting is happening," The boy whurred out and with that left the dorm in a hurry, slamming the door in the process. The girl, all alone again, sighed as the words of Dumbledore echoed in her ears.
A week later the first meeting of Dumbledore's Army was set to take place. Due to the strict rules at Hogwarts, the gathering was at the Shrieking Shack. Y/N was the first to arrive. She looked around and took a seat on one of the old chairs that barely stood together. George and Fred were the next ones to arrive and the girl sighed in relief as the twins entered the dim room. She hadn't spoken to George for two weeks after what had happened on Valentine's Day, but it didn't bother the boy since he was smiling widely upon noticing Y/N's presence. "Good day, love," George greeted and sat down next to her, their knees touching immediately. "Hello to you too," She replied with a slight smile. Their eyes met for a brief second before more people began entering the room. Harry, the crowd favourite leader for the army, entered the room with Hermione and Ron, sitting at the front, everybody else eyeing him with curious gazes. "So, I'm sure everybody knows why we are here today," Harry began the meeting.
After the gathering was over, the new members had given their signatures and gotten further instructions, a group consisting of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred and George with Y/N walked down the bridge to Hogwarts. "What about the Room of Requirement?" Y/N suggested after a bit of silence, the group tried to come up with places where to hold the meetings. "That's a brilliant idea!" Hermione chimed, her head finally perking up. "Great. Then we'll have a meeting in a week," Harry mumbled as they all entered the school building again, stopping at the entrance. "I sadly can't come to the meeting," Y/N said, looking at the group. "Why? But you-" The girl sighed and turned around. "I need to go home for a week. Mother requested," Y/N said with the coldest tone she could muster up which surprised George and everyone else standing close. "I understand," Harry replied with a sigh and smiled a little.
Another two weeks later, Y/N finally entered the Room of Requirement, bustling with chatter, laughing and chants of charms and spells. "Good evening, Harry," The girl greeted as she stood next to Harry. "Oh, great, you're here, Y/N!" Harry exclaimed and then coughed loudly to gain everyone's attention. "Sorry to interrupt you but Y/N has finally joined us and she knows how to summon one of the hardest charms for a student," Harry spoke, every student in the room listening intently. "I hope you have at least heard of the Patronus Charm. If not," Y/N stopped her sentence and took her wand out. "Expecto Patronum!" The girl yelled out and a small doe appeared, running around her and then going to circle around George for a bit until the blue creature dissolved into air. "That's the charm. The charm conjures a magical guardian from your most positive feelings but it's rather hard so if you fail to do it on your first try, don't fret. You will succeed eventually," Y/N smiled and then everybody began to practice.
The evening was hectic for the girl as she went around the room, helping everyone who asked. Many students managed to conjure their Patronus in the first five tries while others, like Ron, failed to even say the charm correctly. It didn't matter to her though, because many meetings were ahead of the army members and she had time to teach everyone. A little before the end of the gathering, George acquired Y/N's attention. "Good evening. Is everything going well?" The girl asked, nearing the twins. "Now that you're here, much better but I do have a question. How do I move the hand?" George spoke quietly, watching her from the corner of his eye. "Like that, like drawing a circle," Y/N replied while showing the correct move with her wand.
"I wanted to talk to you as well," George said after he had managed to succeed with the Patronus Charm. "About what?" Y/N turned to him, excusing herself from a conversation with Ginny. "Is everything alright? You've ignored me ever since Valentine's Day. I truly hope you're not avoiding me," The boy asked, a hand placed gently on her shoulder. Y/N turned her eyes away from him, unable to look at him. "It's not you, never. I'm just... It doesn't matter, I'm sorry," The girl managed to say, her eyes meeting with George's. She was grasped in a tight hug as she let out a sigh of relief. "I'm here for you whenever you need me," The boy mumbled into her hair. "Thank you George, but this is something I need to go through alone," Y/N replied and pulled away from him, leaving the Room of Requirement with a few seconds before running to her dorm.
