"Oh, good, George you're here," Y/N said between big breaths, trying to regain her composure. "Where are you running so fast for?" George asked with a chuckle, eyeing the girl. "Harry." She breathed out. "I need to find Harry." Y/N corrected herself and stood up fully, still breathing heavily. "He's in his dorm-" The redhead began his sentence. "Great! Let me in, please. This is urgent." The girl exclaimed, looking at George. "Quick." She added with a smile. "I'm surprised you haven't learned the password by now, you're almost a Gryffindor student looking at how frequently you visit us." George pondered and turned around. "George!" Y/N almost yelled, tense from the boy's slowness. "Alright, alright, love," George mumbled the password, the door opening slowly. Before he could say anything, Y/N had already slipped through and was dashing into Harry's dorm. "Harry!" Y/N shouted.

"So you mean to tell me, that for my first task, I have to fight dragons," Harry questioned, eyebrows furrowed from the new information, jumping over a tree stump in the Forbidden Forest. "Yes. That's what I have been trying to tell you. God, I ran so fast I'm still worn out." Y/N spoke quietly, her hand still shaking from over-exertion, rattling the lantern in the process. The forest was dark and eerie as it usually was, memories from Y/N's last visit appearing in her mind. The screaming of Ron echoed in her ears as she ran behind the youngest Weasley brother and Harry, fleeing the hoard of Aragog's sons and daughters. The spider's evil laughter accompanied their sprinting. Y/N thought back to the memory with a shiver, imagining the death under a mass of spiders. It was the only time she felt grateful for Ron's being as his father's car magically drove in front of them at the best time, saving them from Aragog.

"Be quiet now," The girl said to Harry as they snuck over to the edge of the bush. Hagrid was standing there as well, smiling when he saw Harry with Y/N. "Merlin, you are a fast one," Hagrid commented, eyeing the girl. "I hope it wasn't too much of a hassle for you to fetch him?" The tall man laughed but stopped seeing the girl's serious expression. "Oh no, not at all." Y/N smiled sarcastically. "I certainly wasn't studying," She added, looking at her denim shorts that were too short for the cold November air and her tank top with a thin flannel over it. "Where did these dragons come? Why's this the first task? You're joking." Harry spurred out as anxiety took over him, grabbing the girl's attention. "They are misunderstood creatures," Hagrid commented just as a dragon blew a gust of fire towards the group. "I'm sorry, I'm late." Madam Maxime, the headmistress of Beauxbatons, excused as she waltzed out behind the hedge. Her mouth flew open as the giant saw four dragons in cages, dragon keepers trying to keep the creatures calm.

"Your dad works as a dragon keeper, doesn't he?" Hagrid turned to Y/N after the tall man had seen enough of the dragons. "Yeah..." The girl mumbled, still looking at the creatures in awe. "Great! Then you can teach the boy some basics of dragon keeping." Hagrid said happily, walking to Maxime with a lovestruck expression. "Lovebirds." Y/N eyed the half-giants, jealousy evident on her face. "Will you teach me?" Harry asked, glancing at the dragons from time to time. "Yes I can, but my knowledge is limited." The girl replied with a sigh, grabbing her lantern tighter. "The last time I saw a dragon was when I was what, seven?" She added, calculating years on her fingers. "Brilliant." The boy exclaimed and they left Hagrid and Madam Maxime at the Forbidden Forest.

Y/N's dorm was the best place to teach Harry as Fleur was staying at her classmate's dorm for the night, leaving the dorm dead silent. Y/N looked around her suitcase, throwing clothing and unused notebooks on the floor next to it. "Where is it." She mumbled, digging deeper and deeper through her belongings. Finally, the girl pulled out a thick and worn-out book. "So, judging by the looks there are four dragons you might get for tomorrow." Y/N began, searching through the pages as she spoke. "The Chinese Fireball," The girl showed Harry an illustrated picture in the book, going through the details of the dragon's appearance and behaviour. "Then we have a Common Welsh Green," Another hand-drawn photo for a short glance before she switched pages. "Swedish Short-Snout," The girl spoke, going over the details. "Why is it called short snout?" Harry questioned, eyeing the picture, as Y/N snorted. "Because it has a short snout. See?" She pointed at the illustration of the dragon's face. "Right, got it," Harry replied and watched Y/N search through the book. "And finally, the Hungarian Horntail. Probably the hardest dragon to get as an opponent. The fire it manages to create is over forty feet," Y/N turned the book to face the boy, whose eyes widened. "No spells work for that species, it needs quick thinking and wit, but you're not lacking in that, are you?" Y/N asked with a grin, giving the book to Harry who was shaking his head. "What if I fail?" The boy asked, his eyes searching the girl's. "I'm sure you won't. And well, if you do, we will remember you." Y/N replied with a chuckle, patting Harry's shoulder. "Thanks." He replied, sarcastically. "If the ministry is guarding the tasks, a gem like you will be undoubtedly saved," Y/N spoke up again, looking at the clock.

The sun was slowly but surely starting to rise from the horizon, lighting the dark landscapes in front of the Ravenclaw tower. "I suggest you get a good rest before the task. You will definitely fail if you don't sleep before it." Y/N said quietly, looking back at the boy. "What if I fail?" Harry questioned the same thought again, making the girl sigh. "Harry." She said sternly, hoping the boy would go to his dorm. "Y/N, you don't understand, there's-" Harry's sentence was cut off as he fell asleep mid-sentence on the floor before the girl's bed. "Works wonders." She commented and opened the dragon book again, settling behind her desk to stay up instead of getting much-needed sleep.

The girl entered the Great Hall with Harry a few hours later, sitting down at the Gryffindor table again. "Can you believe, Y/N used a sleeping charm on me!" Harry exclaimed, slightly furious, to the Weasley who snickered at the boy's anger. "It was for a good reason, Harry," Y/N replied with a smile, eyeing George's reaction from the corner of her eye. "Your mind will obtain new information better if you sleep. You remember what I told you yesterday night?" The girl asked, taking a bite of her food. "All I remember is that the Swedish Short-Snout has a short snout," Harry commented, still furious at  Y/N. She rolled her eyes and turned her attention to George and Fred who were planning on making a bet system for the task. "Who would you place your bets on?" Fred asked Y/N who laughed at the idea. "Definitely Viktor. The Durmstrang students are something else." The girl replied, making George chuckle. "Wicked, ten galleons for a bet." Fred began but got a death stare from George. "But you get a discount, for being... such a good friend." Fred corrected himself.
