George and Y/N walked hand in hand through the narrow path towards the nearby beach. As they finally made it, the sun was beating down on them and the sea was sparkling in the sunlight, the waves gently lapping at the shoreline of the sand. Y/N slowly waded into the water, the waves lapping around her feet. However before she could take another step, she heard a splash and the next moment cool water hit her back as she quickly turned around. "George-" she began protesting but the redhead cut her off, "What's the matter, darling? Can't handle it?" he said with a teasing grin on his face. "Oh, I can handle it just fine," she responded with a playful smile and reached out, splashing a lot of water on him. His hair was now dripping wet, as droplets of water ran down his face and chest. "Oh, you're playing dirty now, love," he said with a low chuckle as he ran his hand through his hair. "You started it," she said with a dramatic sigh and crossed her arms. "You know, if you wanted to get me wet, you could've just asked," George commented, his playful gaze studying her face. She felt her cheeks grow hotter and he noticed her expression and stepped towards her. "All flustered from a simple comment? And me being shirtless, of course," he said with a smirk playing on his lips. "Oh, shut it-" she tried to say but as his mouth opened to speak again, she pushed him into the water. Before she could react, his fingers wrapped around her wrist and pulled her in with him.

After a moment of being submerged under the water, they resurfaced, coughing. George wrapped her arms around her waist as Y/N dangled her legs around his hips, holding onto his neck for support. As she began to speak, he cut her off, tilting her jaw to meet his lips. He tightened his grip on her as she ran her hands through his wet hair. After a few moments, they pulled back as he brushed strands of hair away from her face and said with a playful smile, "Now we're even."

Later they were back at home and bustled around the kitchen. Suddenly, they were interrupted by the sound of a soft hoot, an owl was perched on the windowsill, holding a small scroll of parchment in its peak. As she took the letter and started reading it, George began taking the food outside to the patio. "It's from Hermione," she said as she walked outside to join him, "She and Ron invited us for dinner later this week. Harry and Ginny will be there as well." "Sounds like fun," he replied and pulled out a chair for her before taking a seat himself. Y/N nodded in agreement and said, "I'll write them back." After dinner, they started cleaning up, the sounds of dishes being sorted filling the air. As the sky turned to a beautiful array of oranges and pink, Y/N leaned on the door frame between the living room and patio, taking in the sight outside. The warm summer breeze ruffled her hair as she felt George's hands wrap around her waist and his chin resting on her shoulder. "You know," he began softly, his breath fanning her skin, "The sunset pales in comparison to you." She turned around to face him, her cheeks tilted pink as she muttered, "George-" He chuckled softly and played with the material of her sun dress. "Just stating the obvious, my love." She chuckled in response and left a soft kiss on his lips. George followed her gaze to where their wedding picture hung. In the picture, Y/N was laughing while George was feeding her a piece of cake, his lips pressed against her cheek. She smiled fondly and looked up to him, "Can't believe it will be three years tomorrow." "Me neither," he echoed with a smile, "And don't worry love, I have something special planned for us tomorrow." "I can't wait," she replied with a bright smile before he cupped her cheek and pulled her in a tender kiss. Pulling away slightly, his face shining with affection, he said, "I love you, Y/N." She couldn't help but smile in response, those three words never failed to make her heart flutter. "I love you too, George," she said softly, "Always."

and then Y/N woke up in the hedge maze at her parents' house, her mom eyeing her down as she opened her eyes.
