Y/N was still in her dorm even though it was soon nine. She never was in the dorm after 7 at most days and so her slow movement was confusing to herself as well. Everything that had happened that year caused her demeanour to change. The happy personality was changed into a more mature and calmer type. It was expected as the girl was growing out from the teenage craze everyone would suffer and also because Umbridge was acting more and more like a headmaster rather than a DADA teacher. Y/N sighed as she finished the last touch to her outfit of the day. The dorm was quiet as usual until an owl flew on the windowsill, its beak pounding on the window. Quickly, she grabbed the letter from the bird, letting it fly away as the girl opened the envelope. She was greeted with heart-shaped bubbles that glided around her, a hint of George's cologne appearing with them. "Meet me at the Astronomy Tower when the stars appear," - your favourite redhead. Y/N smiled at the letter, butterflies appearing in her stomach in an instant. Y/N had completely forgotten that Valentine's Day existed neither did she know the day had arrived until she checked her calendar.

No one bothered to follow Umbridge's rules she set for the school grounds. It was rather hard for Y/N to navigate through the maze of couples, hands all over each other. "Live, laugh, love," She mumbled to herself, slightly smiling at the sight of young love. The corridors were decorated with seasonal decor, reds and pinks everywhere Y/N looked. The Great Hall was also decorated, the walls covered with large, lurid pink flowers and heart-shaped confetti that fell from the ceiling. Eyeing around the Gryffindor, the girl noticed Hermione and Harry already there. "Good morning," Y/N said and sat down next to Hermione where she usually sat. "Morning," Harry and Hermione replied at the same time. Hermione's greeting was happy which wasn't unusual but Harry's reply was. The boy was fidgeting with his fingers as he seemed lost in thought. "Harry? Are you okay?" Y/N questioned, worried at her friend's behaviour. "Oh, sorry. Yes, quit-" Harry was cut off as Hermione laughed. "He's going on a date with Cho," She managed to say through her fit of giggles. "Merlin. And here I was thinking  I'd never see the day Harry managed to ask a girl out," Y/N replied in disbelief, erupting in chuckles as well. "I didn't have much choice. She asked me first. I don't think it's anything serious," Harry tried to explain but got completely ignored as Y/N wiped tears from her eyes. The boy let out an annoyed sigh. "Has George-" Harry was cut off again as the trio heard laughing from the twins' way.

The girl hadn't noticed George's arrival but as soon as she saw him, the butterflies appeared again. George, Fred and Lee were a few metres away from them, wide grins on their face. "I can't believe you did that-" Lee expressed through bursts of laughter as he leaned on the table to steady himself. "Can you shut it now-" Fred said with an annoyed tone but showed a smile either way, probably praising himself for the genius thing he had done. "What have they done now?" Y/N muttered with a sigh as she continued demolishing the breakfast. "Something stupid as usual," Hermione answered, rolling her eyes. For a second, she glanced at George and immediately regretted doing so as their eyes met. Unable to break the intense stare, Y/N saw George wink at her, his playful smirk appearing on his lips. Her breath was suddenly stuck in her throat as she continued staring at the redhead. "Earth to Y/N," Hermione swung her hands in front of Y/N's face. "Sorry," Y/N excused herself and went back to their previous conversation, still feeling giddy.

Y/N rushed around in her dorm, trying to come up with an outfit for the date with George she was running late to. The girl was stopped in the hallway by Dumbledore who suddenly appeared before her and insisted on having a conversation. It stretched longer than she had wanted and now she was late. With shaky hands, she slipped into the short, dark red dress and fixed her hair. A small voice inside her had bugged the girl all day long with many scenarios on how the date could go wrong. But Y/N ignored it and pushed through as she left her dorm and took out her wand to light the corridors. Y/N climbed up the stairs to the Astronomy Tower, her heart beating faster with every second as she finally saw a figure standing at the top. Her eyes were focused on the figure as George leaned on the railing, a big bouquet of flowers in his hands. As soon as the redhead heard her footsteps he turned around and their eyes met again. The sight of Y/N made his face light up, his smile forming on his face. "Y/N," George breathed out and walked closer to the girl. "Your are stunning. Has anyone told you that?" The boy whispered to her ear as the pair stood close to each other. "Thank you," The girl replied, thankful for the darkness of the tower as the blush on her face was embarrassingly red. George held out the bouquet, the lilies familiar to Y/N even in the dark. The scent of the flowers engulfed the both of them as Y/N took the bouqet. "I know these are your favourites," George mumbled with a soft smile. "They're gorgeous," THe girl replied as she took a whiff of the scent.

"I hope that the standing situation is fine with you," George said as they leaned on the railings. "Oh, yes, of course. I have done enough sitting today anyway," The boy chuckled at her response. "Fred wanted to take Angelina somewhere and I had to give the blanket to him," George explained as Y/N nodded. "It's pleasant to be with you, sitting or standing," The girl said as she leaned her head on the redhead's shoulder. The wind was surprisingly warm for February and it rustled through their hairs, slightly messing up the updo Y/N made in a hurry. "Y/N," George said softly as she turned her head to meet his eyes, "Yes?" Y/N didn't know if it was her imagination tricking her or she actually saw his gaze drop to her lips and back up to her gaze as she felt a rush of thrill run down her spine. "I- Nevermind," George muttered under his breath and shook his head as he seemed to try to find the right words, "I have surprise for you." The boy added, diverting the topic. "A surpise?" The girl questioned, eyeing George suspiciously. "As you know me and Fred have experimented with quite a lot of joke stuff and this is our newest example, it's not ready but," The redhead opened a little pink box which was filled with heart-shaped chocolates. Her eyebrows furrowed as the chocolates seemed odd. "These aren't just regular chocolates, are they?" Y/N questioned, her gaze going back to George's eyes. "You know us too well," The boy chuckled. "We're going to fill them up with love potion," George explained with a proud grin. "And you want me to try these and possibly get drugged?" Y/N asked with a laugh. "No, of course not. These are the prototypes. To make sure the chocolate is actually good... or not," He spoke quietly. "Are you sure?" She asked again to be sure as she took one. "Positive," George replied with a smile and did the same. "We've been testing them on everyone this past week," The redhead added. The pair then ate the chocolate.

It tasted like chocolate, until something started stirring inside her. A warm tide flowed through Y/N's chest to her stomach, filling her with the feeling of love. She looked up to meet George's eyes. Lighting struck at the moment as the girl felt George was the only person she needed in this world. "Y/N... I never said that to you... But you're my favourite person in the whole wide world and I love you just so, so much from the bottom of my heart," George suddenly spoke, his eyes filled with admiration. Y/N felt an urge to hug the boy before her and she did, grabbing the boy in a tight grasp. "You're such a flirt," The girl replied into his chest. "Every inch of you is just so beautiful," George said and kissed her. It was like time had stopped, the kiss was deep and full of love. Y/N shivered as they pulled away from each other. "Are you cold, love?" The redhead asked, worry evident. "Slightly. But I have you to keep me warm," The girl replied with a grin. "Come on, let's go to my dorm," (no funny business) The boy took her hand and they left the Astronomy Tower. "Am I allowed in the Gryffindor's common room?" She questioned as the pair neared the door, "Of course you are, you are my girlfriend after all," George responded, the effect of the love potion strong on both of them. "George, thank Merlin's..." Fred greeted them as soon as they entered. "Oh no," Fred's usual expression dropped as he saw them. "Fred, meet my girlfriend," George announced loudly, many of the Gryffindor students hearing. "I gave you the wrong box," Fred muttered out with a frightened expression.
