On 2nd May, Y/N, Harry and Hermione with Ron who joined them again a week ago entered Hogwarts through a secret tunnel. Dumbledore's brother, Abeforth had let them through after a long discussion and there they stood. The enrolled students gathered around them, eyes wide. The school was already in shambles and the students worried out of their minds as the Death Eaters controlled everything and everybody. "Come on, we have no time to waste, to the Ravenclaw tower," Harry nudged Y/N and they left Hermione and Ron. The Ravenclaw Tower was eerie in the cloudy weather as nobody dared to go up there anymore. One of the last horcuxes lay in the tower, as Luna said, Ravenclaw's diadem. It was protected by the grey lady whom Y/N already saw.  She grabbed Harry's sleeve as she stood frozen in place. "Harry, I think I can't do this," Y/N mumbled eyeing the ghost in front of them. "Why?" Harry turned to her, face full of shock. "I'm sorry Harry." She mumbled. "It's fine. You can go and make sure everyone is taken care of, I'll come soon." Harry said before running down the corridors to the ghost.

Y/N rushed through the halls, making her way towards the Great Hall between the swarms of students. As she followed the others a voice suddenly broke her out of her trance. "Y/N?" The sound of a familiar voice cut through the air as she turned around her heart leaping in her chest as their eyes met. There he stood, between the sea of students, concern etched into his features. "George," Y/N was able to say, her voice barely above a whisper. Before she knew it they were rushing to one another throwing themselves in each other's embrace. She could feel his heart beating fast as she buried her face in his chest. For a brief moment, the chaos around them faded away as they held each other. He gently tilted her jaw and planted a kiss on her forehead. Pulling back he cupped her cheek and whispered, "After this is over we'll be together. I promise." "George, I can't bear the thought-" She couldn't finish her sentence as he kissed her before pulling back and saying, "I won't die on your watch, remember?" She sighed and forced a smile as best as she could and laced their fingers together. The enchanted ceiling of the Great Hall was dark and scattered with stars, and below it, the four long house tables were lined with dishevelled students, some in travelling cloaks, others in dressing gowns. Y/N noticed the other Weasleys and the Order of the Phoenix standing in the corner as they walked up to them.

Kingsley addressed them, "Professors Flitwick, Sprout and McGonagall are going to take groups of fighters up to the three highest towers - Ravenclaw, Astronomy, and Gryffindor - where they'll have a good overview, from which to work spells. Meanwhile, Remus, Arthur and I will take groups into the grounds." The others whispered among themselves and the man added, "We need somebody to organize the defence of the entrances or the passageways into the school-" "Sounds like a job for us," Fred called with a slight grin to George. "Y/N, the entrance of the courtyard," Kingsley assigned right after. The girl nodded and turned to George, her eyes studying his expression. He carefully took her hand and traced small circles around her ring. "Y/N, no matter what happens I will always love you okay? Always." Y/N smiled, even though her eyes were full of fear and distress. "I love you too, always and forever." She mumbled. "Stay safe, my love," George whispered his voice edged with worry as he wrapped his arms around her. "You too, Georgie," She said and sighed resting her head on his shoulder. As they broke apart she cast one last reassuring look at the group, Fred smiled and patted his twin's shoulder. With a final glance at George, she steeled herself and made her way towards the Courtyard.

It wasn't long before she had to use her wand. Y/N braced herself as two Death Eaters approached, their malevolent eyes fixed on her. Without hesitation, Y/N unleashed a powerful spell, her wand moving swiftly through the air. The spell left a trail of shimmering light in its wake as it hurtled towards the two figures. Suddenly a voice cut through the air, "Y/N! Watch out!" The next moment she found herself on the ground as a flash of blonde hair came into her view and yet another Death Eather exploded against the wall. She stumbled back to her feet and looked up, "Draco?" The boy looked towards her his hair dishevelled and dirt covering his clothes, "Potter is looking for you." Draco announced, his voice as usual, stern. "Where is he?" She questioned as she looked at him her heart beating faster. "Ravenclaw tower." She turned away, but she couldn't help and look back at him, a wave of gratitude and unspoken emotions hitting her. "Thank you," Y/N mouthed, with a clenched jaw Draco nodded tightly and rushed away to the other side.

The corridors were a blur as she navigated through the chaos, running up the stairs towards the Ravenclaw tower. "Y/N!" Harry called out as they collided. Her head snapped up, her eyes meeting his. "Harry!" she gasped, relief flooding through her. As their footsteps echoed in the staircase, Harry's words filled the air, "I had a vision," he said, urgently "The boathouse." Y/N nodded and they quickened their pace, her heart racing with adrenaline. Y/N followed closely behind Harry, her thoughts swirling as he explained his vision. She felt a mixture of concern and determination as they rushed towards the boat house. "Where are the others?" she inquired. "They went to the Chamber of Secrets to destroy the Hufflepuff Cup," Harry replied, and her heart sank just a little. She glanced back at the Great Hall, her gaze searching for a familiar face, but George was nowhere to be seen. Thankfully, she spotted Fred, who shot her a reassuring nod and a smile. She smiled back softly and nodded. Harry suddenly took hold of her wrist and started dragging her to the docks.

"Perhaps you already know it? You are a clever man, after all, Severus. You have been a good and faithful servant, and I regret what must happen." Voldemort's voice echoed in the boathouse, across the water. "My lord —" Snape tried to excuse himself. "The Elder Wand cannot serve me properly, Severus, because I am not its true master. The Elder Wand belongs to the wizard who killed its last owner. You killed Albus Dumbledore. While you live, Severus, the Elder Wand cannot be truly mine." Voldemort said with a smirk, slowly turning to Severus. "My Lord!" Snape protested, raising his wand. "It cannot be any other way," said Voldemort. "I must master the wand, Severus. Master the wand, and master Potter at last." Voldemort swiped the air with the Elder Wand. The snake's cage was rolling through the air, and Voldemort spoke in Parseltongue, "Kill." There was a terrible scream. Snape's face lost the last colour it had left, his black eyes widened, as the snake's fangs pierced his neck, his knees gave away and he fell to the floor. Y/N and Harry looked at eachother and gulped before taking a careful step and opening the door. Harry's wand fell out of his hand as he sat down next to Snape holding his hand on the man's neck. "Take them," Snape whispered his voice breaking as a tear ran down his face, "Please." Harry turned towards Y/N, "Give something quickly, a flask or anything!" She tore her eyes away from them and shuffled in her pocket pulling out a vial. "Take them to the pensieve," Snape trembled and gulped, "Look at me." As Harry met Snape's gaze, the man murmured softly, his voice barely audible, "You have your mother's eyes." The revelation hung deeply filling the room with poignant weight as they looked at Snape's motionless figure. "Go," She said to Harry who nodded and turned away and made his way towards the headmaster's office.
