Chapter 32: Demon Slayer -- Tanjiro's Journal, Part 2 --

     "Okay we are ready for the next Demon Slayer viewing," said Mira.

     "This is the second part of the viewing from yesterday right," said Rindou.

     "It well be interesting to see what will happen in the viewing," said Aizawa.

     "Then shall we get to the viewing," said Mira.

     "Yeah, let's do it," said Karma.

      "Where'd you come from?!" asked Tanjiro.
      "What are you doing?" asked Sabito.
     "Doing? I'm training," said Tanjiro.
      "How long do you plan to have your butt stuck in the maid? Take a stance! Now...attack!" said Sabito.
      "But...you have a wooden sword and I have a real one!" said Tanjiro.
      "Ha Ha! Ha ha ha! Hahahaha! Wahahaha! Hahaha! Hahahaha! How sweet! Thanks for worrying about me! You think you can hurt me? Rest your pour, soft heart. You can't hurt me! I'm stronger than you'll ever be! I've already split a boulder!" said Sabito.
      'You split a boulder?!' thought Tanjiro.
     "You've gained nothing. You haven't mastered anything! certainly not...the breathing technique taught by Urokodaki! Total concentration breathing!" said Sabito.
      'He knows Urokodaki?! And about the breathing...,' thought Tanjiro.
      "You just memorized it as a fact...but your body doesn't understand anything!" said Sabito.]

      "Wait so he split his own boulder," said Spinner.

      "Yep he did," said Tanjiro.

      "He must be strong then," said Mikey.

      ["Beat it into your flesh and blood! More! More! More! So that you became the embodiment of the secrets Urokodaki taught you! Beat it into the marrow of you bones!" said Sabito.
      "I do! I do, every day! As hard as I can! But no matter how hard I try...I can't progress any farther," said Tanjiro.
       "Don't "try"...just do it! If you're a man! They only other choice...is to lie down and die! So make yourself progress! Attack! What have you got? Show me...your strength!" said Sabito.
       "Aaaaagh!!" yelled Tanjiro.
      "I leave the rest to you," said Sabito.
     "Hmm," said Makomo.]

      "Ouch, that had to hurt," said Draken.

      "I'll say. It looks like that knocked Tanjiro out with one hit," said Nagisa.

      ["Are you all right?" asked Makomo.
      "Did you see what happened? That was an incredible blow! Not a bit of unnecessary motion! It was truly beautiful! That's how I want to be too! But is that even possible? Can I do it...?" said Tanjiro.
     "I'm sure you can. I'll watch over you," said Makomo.
     'She's cute...,' thought Tanjiro.
     "Uh...who are you," asked Tanjiro.
     'She says her name is Makomo...and tells me the guys name is Sabito. Makomo points out the defects in my style. She corrects my unnecessary movements and bad habits. Why is she doing this for me? Where did she come from? I ask, but she never tells me,' thought Tanjiro.
      "We really like Urokodaki," said Makomo.
      'She often says those words. They aren't siblings. They were both orphans. Urokodaki took them in and raised them,' thought Tanjiro.
       "There are other children too. They're all around watching you," said Makomo.
     'Makomo is a bit of a strange girl. She says things in a weird way,' thought Tanjiro.
      "Total concentration breathing...accelerates your blood flow and heart beat. And your temperature shoots up," said Makomo.]

      "So your breathing style is what helps you with your swordsmenship," asked Nezu.

     "That's right, and each person has a slightly different breathing style as well," said Tengan.

      ["You're still human, but you get strong like a demon. You expand you lungs...and bring...lots of air into you blood. Your blood gets excited and your bones and muscles thrill. You get hot and strong!" said Makomo.
     'I don't really get it...,' thought Tanjiro.
     "You must train so hard that you could die. Basically, I don't think there's anything else you can do," said Makomo.
     'I swung my sword...so hard that...it felt like my arms and legs would come off...and that...my lungs...and heart would burst in my chest...but...I still couldn't beat Sabito. Another six months passed. Until one day...when I went to face Sabito...he held a real sword,' thought Tanjiro.]

      "Nope I would give up if I had to do that all the time," said Mina. 

     "I'm sure it's very hard but well worth it in the end," said Koro-sensei.

     "So basically two years of training in how to use your sword," said Sanzu.

     "Yep that's right," said Tanjiro.

      ["After half a year...you've finally got the face of a man," said Sabito.
      "Today, I will win," said Tanjiro.
     'The contest was simple. The stronger, faster blade wins. The fight was over in an instant. That day, in that moment, for the first time...my blade reached Sabito first. When I won, Sabito smiled. It seemed like a sad smile to me...or maybe proud and reassuring. Suddenly, Sabito disappeared...and I found that my sword had not cut Sabito's mask. It had split the boulder,' thought Tanjiro.]

      "He actually did it. He cut the boulder in half," said Izuku.

      "Wow, that was awesome," said Chifuyu.

      "I have to agree that was amazing to see," said Joeichiro.

      "Okay we will take a ten-minute break and then we will watch the next Tokyo Revengers viewing after the break," said Mira.
