'Amazing! This dish uses its spring ingredients to the max! And he just whipped it up in a few minutes?!' thought Soma.
"It's your turn next, Soma. Show me the story your dish will tell," said Isshiki.
'Dad...I think I'm starting to see why you sent me here,' thought Soma.
"Wait right there!" said Soma.]

"So, what are you planning on making in this challenge," asked Renguko.

"More than likely it's from our secret menu," said Joeichiro.

['This is Isshiki sempai's dish. Pepper grilled seer fish with cabbage puree!' thought Soma.
"Sempai, does your family run a traditional japanese restaurant?" asked Soma.
"Why do you think that?" asked Isshiki.
"Pepper-grilled fish is a staple of japanese cuisine. And there aren't many regular restaurant's out there that can do it this well," said Soma.
'The fish is grilled to delicate, flaky perfection...the cabbage puree is an unusual choice...but its smooth texture and mild, sweet flavor compliment the seer fish beautifully. In combination, the seer fish-in season in spring-and the spring cabbage each magnify the deliciousness of the other. It's a dish, as gorgeous as a fresh spring day! Seer fish, huh?' thought Soma.
"Okay! I can make Yukihira's secret menu item #20 with this," said Soma.
"Yukihira's "secret menu"?" asked Isshiki.
"Yeah. My family runs a small family restaurant. I'm going to build my dish around seer fish, like you did! It's one of Yukihira's most popular menu items...and I'm going to bring it to you using the spring theme you set, sempai," said Soma.]

"Is it normal to have a theme while cooking," asked Riko.

"It depends really. If it's a contest then there is going to be either a theme or a main ingredient that the people in the contest has to use or follow," said Alice.

["Mmh? Nnn...I must've fallen asleep. Wait, is Yukihira cooking again?" said Yuki.
"Apparently. Maybe he's still hungry," said Ryoko.
"It's a cook off," said Shun.
"Wah! Shun you're awake?" said Yuki.
"Woke up a few minutes ago, yeah," said Shun.
"Wait, they're having a cook-off? Really?! Why? What started it?" asked Yuki.
"Who knows? But form what I can tell...Isshiki senpai started it," said Shun.
"Um, so I guess no comment is needed on senpai's, uh, outfit?" said Yuki.
"No. It'd be a pity to put a damper on the competition," said Shun.
"Done!" said Soma.]

"Do cook-off happen a lot in your dorm?" asked Hisoka.

"Pretty much every day really. But it's all in good fun and it helps us learn new things as well," said Isshiki.

["Yukihira's secret menu item #20 (revised). Seer fish rice ball chazuke! It's usually made with salmon...but today I'm trying seer fish, instead. Dig in, everyone!" said Soma.
"What's been poured over it?" asked Ryoko.
"Seaweed tea. The soft saltiness and rich flavor are perfect for rounding out a meal," said Soma.
"Gawd! Put this in front of me and I can't help but get hungry!" said Yuki.
'This looks like nothing more than plain old Chazuke. No one would be surprised to see something like this in any common eatery. Let's see...,' thought Isshiki.]

"You know. It's like what happened with Soma's test with Erina," said Isshiki.

"Your right. It may look like the regular dish but there has to be a twist as well," said Koro-sensei.
